He has stiff hips, weak man coverage skills (better zone defender) and no burst off the snap but the guy can play regardless. Lester had his crappy games (like Tennessee) this year but I see him making our squad.

At worst, he'll provide good depth for The Panthers.

i think we'll keep on doing a lot of zone so that's not that big of a deal.

 

very rare that we break out into man coverage anymore.

Heh I was going to say something similar.  If Lester and Godfrey are starting we have the league's longest haired Safeties heh.  "With our hair powers combined, we are TROY POLOMALU!"

 

... hopefully doesn't take you guys too long to get that reference...

Any word on Robert Jones?  For those who were there?  He's one of the bigger bodies on the OL.

I don't remember anything about him. Its going to be tough for him with Star and Kawaan in front of him. PS player maybe?

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
