Saw DeAngelo Williams today...

If you think Gettleman is going to keep dwill after this season, then you are very mistaken. Gettleman already cut Gamble who was our entire secondary, he won't hesitate to cut dwill who has been mediocre his past few seasons here. RB's are a dime a dozen.

I was referring to this upcoming season. After that I would think any GM would reevaluate his roster and salary situations.

Everyone knows the guy has class, too bad class doesn't keep you on the team; production does.

D-Will averaged 10.8 carries a game.

For RBs who averaged less than 11 carries a game he by far had the highest YPG average at 46.1.  Next closest was Donald Brown at 41.

Only one RB with less carries per game had more TDs, and that was Andre Brown for NYG.

He was in the middle of the pack in total TDs (receiving and rushing) among all RBs despite splitting time and barely playing for 5 games because he got demoted.

If production is what keeps you on a team there shouldn't be a discussion.  Unfortunately his contract is why people don't want him around, not his production.

One is a free agent, older, and injury prone the other is overpaid, older, and injury prone

Whose model wins Super Bowls, Giants or the Panthers?

Ill wait for your answer

He didn't win the superbowl for the giants the whole team did.............As of right now i like Panthers model for superbowl..we aren't there yet but we will get one before the giants get it...........

Well actually he is definetly not the reason they won both of those superbowls. It was actually Eli Manning. If he was such a detrament to them winning both of those superbowls he would be in New York right now training with those guys.

Like teeray said DeAngelo Williams is better than any other FA that's available. So tell me again why we should down grade on a position that we are going to need, now that we are more likely to run a little bit more.

To tell you the truth if the guy had a whole year to be a feature back and get the carries of a feature back, he would be top 10 running back in the league. No doubt if we ran out of traditional sets, instead out of the shotgun formation.

Bradshaw just isn't no where near Deangelo that's the end of discussion, with production and injury added into the equation.

Good points.

His production is still there. The, his contract must go, folks will dismiss this just like they dismiss anything that makes him sound good. Sure that contract is bad. But that is the only negative in his assessment.

Everyone pretty much agrees that Cam needs weapons. All the more reason to keep DWill.

DWill's contract may be on the high side, he certainly has the potential to be worth every penny as he has shown in the past. The zone read offense was a hard adjustment for the backs because they didnt have any downhill speed first of all, and second of all they werent the ones reading the DE to their backside so they never knew if Cam was going to pull it or not. Its hard to get up and run hard when you kinda freeze for the first 2-3 seconds of the play while everyone else's motor is already at 100%.

Give it one more year with the shula offense that we saw more of later in the season that made more use of cam under center and less of the zone read. Gettleman has a plan, he seems to always think a few steps ahead.

False. Potential isn't there for him to earn it.

Only way he could earn his deal would be for us to suffer massive injuries...
