Rolling Stone Poll: Ten Worst 90s Bands

Good and Bad, when it comes to music, is subjective at best. I like a lot of those bands that everyone is screaming to be crap, and will gladly admit it, because I could give a rat's ass what other people think of my musical tastes. I like what I like, and what moves me, moves me. It's that simple... don't like it, don't listen.

I do however, find it pretty hilarious to see some the same folks who are quick to criticize and say some of the bands listed were crap, are the same ones getting so worked up when someone thinks the bands that they like are crap. Irony at its finest right there.

I mostly agree with the list. DMB doesn't deserve to be on it though. I'm not that big of a fan of theirs but they are talented.

Nirvana was just okay never as good as everyone likes to believe.

I personally liked Nirvana, but can see how some would not like them or think they were only ok at best. It's all about personal taste when it comes to music.

However, where this article is crazy at is putting them in a worst of the 90's listing when....

Like it, Hate it or loathe it. Nirvana was the most influential rock band of the 90's, they along with the rest of the Seattle early grunge scene changed the mainstream music business forever and has had a lasting impact on it. They also had talent as well.

Soundgarden was my favorite grunge band. I always thought they were more polished as a band and as musicians. Cornell blows the doors off Cobain.

Nirvana had some good songs but I think they peaked. I don't think they would have made any better music or stayed relevant if Cobain lived.

I love Nirvana but I can see why some don't. I like a lot of Soundgarden's music, but not all of it... some if it really sucks, esp their earlier stuff.

I like some of Pearl Jam's stuff, but they're not my favorite either.

I have yet to come across an AiC song I don't like and pretty much the same with STP.

Aside from Smashing Pumpkins and maybe Screaming Trees or Bush... were there any other big Grunge bands?

Music appreciation is so subjective that discussing this kind of "list" is really almost moot.... with the possible exception of nearly everyone thinking Nickelback sucks.

I don't know how Mr. Belding thinks AIC's later albums were horrible. Jar of Flies and self-titled(tri-pod)? Jar of Flies is probably my favorite album by them and that is saying a lot.  I never listened to the newest one since Layne died so i have no idea what it sounds like.

But man classic songs on those last couple of albums.
