Vegas Future Wins Odds

No where in the job description for being a fan does it state, I deserve a winning team because I invest my emotional well being into said team.

Over half the NFL fans have never sniffed a Super Bowl. Glad they all don't quit to, invest their time and energy, doing other things. Would not be an NFL for long.

Fans use history to predict the future, it is par for the course. Fans have a particular fascination with the future. In a sense, you can judge a fan by how he views this aspect. Happy, content, fearful, enthused, worried, indifferent.

Point being. You don't threaten to throw away your fandom. It just isn't done. Suck up your butthurt emotions over what was, or what could have been, or what should be, or even what is to come, and get in there and root for the home team.

so make yourself the most gullible, sadomastic person possible and don't do anything else with your time that you might actually enjoy without giving you an ulcer and that won't perennially disappoint supporting an organization that can't get their poo together enough to even have 5 winning seasons out of 20. gotcha.

reward the pathetic with your faithfulness. that's what it means to be a fan.

the schedule doesn't bother me. it won't keep us from winning or losing games.

what bothers me most is the coaching and being weak at receiver, but mainly coaching.

if things are clicking, we can beat any team on that calendar. i just have my doubts about them clicking.

that said...i see this as a 7-8 win team. i don't see a winning season and i definitely don't see playoffs and the thing that would be holding us back is rivera and shula. slow start with a rally late in the season...too late. pretty much the same ol same ol...excuses and all.

Yep

The only thing that goes against Rayzor's claims that we will have a late push again is our schedule. Our hardest games come late in the season, specifically conference games. Your theory is flawed.

But if we do have a late rally late in the year, wouldn't that mean we would do well in the conference?

Week 8 is the first week we play a conference opponent, the Bucs.

Week 1 do Russell Wilson and the Seahawks drop 50 on the Panthers? :D

Only in your wet dream. That bunch of drug addict overachievers better bring their A game to Charlotte. They are already talking about the week 2 49ers game. Please overlook us and get bitch slapped back to Starbucks land.

Man...you went from 30 seasons down to 20 seasons.  Do you need us to give you the exact number?

And we've only had 4 winning seasons.

for a team who typically gets a late start and relies on a late season surge for any hint of respectability....it sucks that the toughest part of the schedule is the toughest.

so what....5-6 wins?

i dunno. they have to get started winning early one way or the other. they have to turn it around and quit making excuses for slow starts and actually start hot. if they don't, they're toast.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
