DT Nate Chandler to offensive tackle?

Recommended Posts

I could see a move to OG, but Tackle takes real talent thats a tough move move on this level.

I think T is often easier for lots of players based on their skill set.

Bruce Campbell, Byron Bell.....all suck worse at G than T.  G isn't easier.  T play is just deemed more important.

It could have been Chandler's idea. We just re-signed Dwan for 2 years and drafted KK.  What chance did Chandler have?  Either way, if it works out, what a find.

Raw, but so were first rounders Lane Johnson and Kyle long.

Arm length is good--33 3/4

it also takes awareness and athleticism...and experience. he's got all three of those from what i gather. i think the talent is there as well to be at least a solid rotational/backup guy.

i think suggesting the change is what got him to the defensive side of the ball in the first place. he saw a chance to be more of a contributor at another position and asked for a chance. not unreasonable to think it's the same story here.

He wants to be on the field--can't blame him for that.  I have a very good feeling about this--he seems to have the size, measurables, and the athleticism to play T.  Maybe....
