Question Mr. Greg:

 

What is the atmosphere of the team like so far this year? is it any different than years past, any more urgent, more focused? Does everyone have a sense that the team is on the verge of greatness so expectations are at an all time high?

 

Also who is the hardest guy to go up against in practice?

As usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short on the fun.  Welcome to Carolina Huddle G-Hardy.  This is without a doubt the best NFL fan forum out there, and it just got that much better with you joining the crew.

 

I nominate itsghardy to post the "on notice" threads this coming season, bring those back with a vengeance.  Time to go shopping for a custom black #76 jersey with KRAKEN on the nameplate.  Hellz yeah!

Thanks for doing the AMA over on Reddit.  The guys over at /r/NFL are good people and the only NFL player who ever visits is Kluwe the punter for the Vikings/Raiders.  Absolutely fantastic to have an actual football player talking to fans both here and there!

Now this I love. A player gracing us with his presence in the huddle. Love it just  love it. Shows who he is as a person.. Now go kill some QB's this season.

 

Oh and my son will poo himself seeing this. Your his favorite player.

Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to seeing you "kracken" more QB's this season! Seeing you celebrate sacks with your teammates is exciting for me 'cause I know it will motivate them to "git some" too, but I also like the Hulk Hogan listening imitation for the same reason - it will motivate the fans. Anyway you can do both and motivate everyone (teammates and fans) to feel the pain?

I picked up a Kraken jersey last month. Keek jersey will have to stay home half the season.

      Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.

      I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce

      Yea Bryce was definitely a top half qb the second half of last season but I'm not sure Canales is 100% sold on him.  Like I've said in another post I think that's part of why we talked to so many South Carolina players in the draft process.  I think they are doing early due diligence on Sellers just in case.
