"I'm very excited. This is my dream. I couldn't ask for anything better," he said. "My strength and my lateral speed for my size, I've got both of those things going for me, and that's a little bit of a rare combination. It's really about catching up on the mental aspects of the game.

Get on the Canadian Farm Beast train now folks.

I just pray that people do not think our DTs, Starlite and Gaydosh, are an all-male figure skating duo. Sounds like we need some rainbows and glitter on our helmets.

Just a joke before people start ripping me.  I watched some film (You Tube highlights) and he could be an awesome player for us. The game is a lot different here, but when they played him at nose, he was dominant.  However, the OL in college there was probably on the DII level, so we shall see how he does with pads.

I like this guy. But, I still think he is a real long shot to make the team.

We have Edwards, Cole, Star, and KK that are pretty much locks.

Question is do we keep 5 DT's or 5 DE's.....we usually keep 9 DL. Given Hardy and Ch's abilities to slide inside on passing downs, I think it us more likely to keep 5 DE's.

But, this us just an opinion

The Giants keep 5 DTs don't they? Not sure. I just want Fua off the team so I'm rooting for a guy to come in and win his spot.

It is a definite possibility. But, I don't see how we can carry 10 DL on a 53 man roster.

This may be one of the tough decision that they have to make. They are going to have them at various positions.

I think cole is far from a lock. Also, gaydosh is a nose tackle. If cole makes the team over him maybe they go with five DT's? Three nose and two under tackles?

Rivera and co. have talked up Cole a bunch so unless he gets hurt in training camp or just flat out sucks, he will have a roster spot.

There just isn't a scenario where the Panthers want to go into the season with only one of their defensive tackle's taking an actual NFL snap.

I see it playing out like the following...

Charles Johnson, Mario Addison

Dwan Edwards, Kawann Short

Star Lotulelei, Colin Cole, Lindon Gaydosh

Greg Hardy, Frank ALexander

    • And I won't even get into our forward lines... We have three legit forwards in aho, Svech, and Jarvis and a bunch of grinders. There is a reason why we have a hard time putting the puck in the net - nobody on this team knows how to shoot
    • I was more inclined to say fire rod last year than this year. I still think we are lacking significant talent on this team. Without chatty, our defense has old man burns who is washed, ghostbear who is a one-way player, orlov who makes numerous awful turnovers each game, a solid walker, and slavin. I think we are all definitely mad that nikishin didn't play, but we weren't winning this game with them anyway. The entire team came out flat, which is inexcusable at home down a game. If rod couldn't fire them up, I don't think any coach in the NHL does.  Florida is the worst possible matchup for us because they play very similar to us but are better at doing it. It sucks we're going to get swept, but I honestly thought this team was a fringe at best playoff team once we traded away mikko
    • The system isn't the problem. It's decision making.
