Is it noticable that LaFell is playing on the outside more this TC? Or should we still expect LaFell lining up more in the slot than Smith?

Interesting that there's been more discussion about gettis on here than the progression of lafell since camp started because even after being out of the loop for two years people will not stop fuging talking about gettis

I've ways thought Lafell was better than the credit given to him, and a nice potential #2 guy. Good to hear he's making strides.

Also, never underestimate a guy in a contract year. He knows he has a lot riding on his production this year.

The bolded statement is the reason that many are down on LaFell.  They want our #2 to be the #1 in waiting.  LaFell is a very good #2 WR.  But, I don't think that he is enough to be a #1 WR threat.  We need to get that guy next year.

Hixon is more likely to get a spot behind Lafell, taller possession type recievers both being 6'2. I think Hixon makes the team. That leaves maybe 2 spots for Ginn, Adams, AE, and Pilares to try for.

I view Hixon as the #4 guy. Solid possession type and can get open, but he doesn't have the speed or athletic ability that Ginn has.

I think Hixon and Ginn will both serve as the #3 WR in 3 receiver sets, depending on situation.

Big fear of mine is Smith and/or Gross going down for any amount of time.
