I love Jake but retire his jersey?!?!? Seriously???

We would be the laughing stock of the nfl.

Give him a lifetime pass to all panther games and his own suite in the stadium but he didnt do enough as a qb to warrant number 17 never being worn again.

89 on the other hand.....

...said him pounding the KEEP POUNDING drum was, "in the works".

I think he will make a game day appearance this year.  If so, BOA will explode!

No matter what your opinion was in the past, enough time has passed that any Panthers fan has to admit that Jake was and is special and we were damn lucky to have him.  As far as I am concerned, (and I realize that both Jake and none of you care) all is forgiven.  He was a fuging gem.

That This is Gross episode was awesome. Loved that bit about the 05 Bears. Lol.

Jake and Jordan approach line laughing to kneel down and win game.

Urlacher, initiating his temper tantrum yells, "Hey, act like you've been here before!!"

To which Jake responds..

"Hey, Urlacher! We HAVE been here before. You ain't!!"

Epic.

Statue? number retired?

Pfft. Name the stadium after him.

First - realize you're talking about a team that once put the franchise tag on a punter.

Second - Jake's late game antics have broken the hearts of many opposing fans. Trust me, they remember. There may be some hate, but they definitely respected Jake - especially with the game on the line.
