I'm glad we drafted Short in the 2nd round

Meh, who knows if he would've had the same conviction as Hurney did on Cam and Luke? I'll give up some roster depth for the two cornerstones of our franchise...

You're right but assuming he does take those two guys.....imagine having 80$ mil not tied up in an aging RB and another one w bad ankles

I remember DR when he was at Tennessee. In fact I came across him a few times at the dining hall. The guy is a freak athlete but he is as dumb as he is talented. Same goes for Tyler Bray.

There's a reason why neither of them were drafted. Both were arrogant, immature shitheads who couldn't distinguish an X from an O. That and Derek Dooley was a huge prick to any pro scout who came to UT.

Sent from my SGH-T999

'Talented but dumb' is a combination that all too often leads to a sense of entitlement and gets a kid thinking that the rules don't apply to him.

You see what DG did with the two big assess this year, expect two more fat assess for the oline next year. And i guarantee it won't be someone who is a project This is his team now and his fingerprints will be all over it. In Gettleman we trust.

Our best WR in franchise history with numbers approaching Canton consideration was a 3rd round return specialist.

Our very solid #2 was a third rounder.

Moose was the middle of the second round.

Thats true but in todays NFL, and as of late, talented players have been coming out in the first round and producing very well, 1st round talent that is. I see your point but lately the bust rate for 1st round talent has not been that bad.

Technically, we didn't fire fox. We just let him steer the team into irrelevancy until his contract ran out while JR was too busy prioritizing lockout leverage over fielding a competitive team

This would have been a great move if he didn't let Hurney take all of that moo-la and just piss it away.  We were in position to make some serious moves and he didn't even look outside of the organization.

Gettleman, or any other competent GM could have ate big off of that money.

That's striking gold. We need a sure thing to be competitive in the near future.

I just think we need a good receiver.  We have 1...correction: We've had only 1 for like 5 years

I don't care if it's Jordan Matthews, Evans, Hoffman, Lee, or Reefer Watkins...we need one next year.  That's looking too far ahead though.
