LOL.  The fed/state take forty cents of every dollar at that income level.  Now deduct additional expenses he incurs directly as a result of being an NFL player, like any medical/injury related things not 100% covered by the NFL/CBA.  Now deduct agent fees (10% ?).  The guy will pocket half a mil max in exchange for taking a beating a minimum of sixteen times, adding to a life of residual pain in many cases.  Oh yeah, toss in the heightened risk of dementia.  Still overpaid?
