Cam's Interview with JJones

@jjones9: Sat down with Cam recently for a piece running Sunday. A number of interesting things didn't make the cut. I'll tweet them here

@jjones9: Cam is currently binge-watching Breaking Bad. Last I talked to him he was near the end of Season 2.

@jjones9: Cam's took this offseason to make changes. But he's doing it for himself and no one else. "What you eat doesn’t make me go to the restroom"

@jjones9: Cam on Qs like where does he eat, what's he do: "They treat me like I’m an 'it'. What does it like to do? Is it hungry? Is it cool?"

@jjones9: For the #Buzz crowd: "The worst thing that could have happened (to CLT sports) was the Charlotte Hornets leaving" -Cam

@jjones9: He's only good at football "Golf, I tried it, I suck. Baseball, I’m not good at it. Basketball, I think I’m good, I’m not good."

@jjones9: QBs he mentioned by name he watches on off days: Brady, Peyton, Vick, Rodgers, Luck, Wilson, Kaepernick, RG3

@jjones9: Cam on fellow young QBs: There ain’t no bad blood with them. I’m not over there hating on them. These dudes, they make me better.

@jjones9: After he breaks the huddle before games and before his first snap, Cam blows a kiss to his mom. Has done this since high school

@jjones9: There you go. 8 nuggets to whet your appetite for Sunday's piece.

I'm surprised to hear he's only good at Football. He moves so smoothly and is so athletic I figured he'd be good at most sports. Anyway just some Cam facts, sorry if already posted.

It's too bad he receives so much hate from the media, he seems like a cool, down to earth guy who just likes to have fun.

Pie for spelling, "whet" properly.

Now, please use the word, "slake" in a sentence.

Cam probably means he's not good at basketball as in "I couldn't play in the NBA".

Make no mistake, he would dunk all over every one of us.

I'm about 5'5, age 46, out of shape and was never very good at basketball anyway.

So yeah...

For the record, I'm planning to sue the NBA for discrimination against short, middle-aged, out of shape people

    • Good read and stuff under it is not bad either. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-cb-jaycee-horn-says-184519429.html
    • While I'd love to add him, it just doesn't make sense for where we are at in our re-build right now. The only teams who should be interested are those who have a very legitimate shot at winning the SB this season, as any team who makes the trade is going to be mortgaging their future to make the move. Teams who make these kinds of trades and then give them the massive contract, in the hopes that it will expedite their path to contention, ALWAYS ends up backfiring because they have to give up the 1st round picks that are then needed to help build out the rest of the roster after eating up such a significant chunk of the cap on the new contract. There is no way the Cowboys trade him for anything less than 2 future 1st rounders (and probably more), plus we'll have to make him the highest paid non QB in league history.  Not to mention that it would then have made the Scourton and/or Princely picks a bit of a waste, as those 2nd and 3rd round picks would have been better off used on a ILB or DB
    • Like his approach to pre season that's ro get them out there and play together for a few plays and right about the night before and morning before.  Maybe we can come out the gate on fire I can smell the smoke from here!!   Go Panthers
