What he did didn't deserve an ejection

That was some bullshit

It was not a judgement call. The rules simply states that if you do that you are ejected.

As a professional player, it is Alexanders JOB to know that and not do it.

So yes, he deserved the ejection.

One could argue that the rule is stupid, but that does not change the fact that he broke a rule that he should know meant a automatic ejection.

its actually a shame that there isn't a penalty box for players in the nfl.  stick them in there for 10 snaps.  some sort of immediate action needed to be taken, but the rest of the game seems a little harsh for something that happens on every football field everywhere when two teams are playing at a high level or frustrated

This^^

he threw a punch (even though it was open handed) to the guys head.  that warrants an ejection every time.

was a dumb move...he lost his cool.  I am sure that he got the message from the players and coaches.

I doubt we see that again.

Clay Matthews did the same thing and he hit him at least three times with a open hand and he wasn't ejected. IT IS a judgment call.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
