If we draft defense in the 1st round again, I'll have a stroke. We have no OL and no WR corps. Plus, what has Clowney done in the first two weeks? About as much as Hardy.

10 tackles 2 sacks a forced fumble and a few TFLs despite not playing any cupcakes and being game planned against. He disrupted Carolina's entire offense just by being on the field.

any proof? who was he with?

The proof is I was there. Myself and Everyone in our group saw him.

And I'm not saying he isn't allowed to go. It's just like....really Greg u predict 50 sacks...want a big extension....but it's like less than 48 hours before you're supposed to be in Buffalo trying to win but you're staying up until the wee hours of the morning at the strip club

It's just hard to take the guy serious sometimes. But hey I hope he balls out next week

Funny how everyone has flipped a switch on hardy, Im still in his corner

I think he's still a good player who could potentially be great, but like Hurney should've done with DeAngelo and JSTew, he should've picked the one to pay and picked the one to trade/let walk.  Just like we couldn't afford to have two big money RBs, I don't think we can afford to have two big money DEs.  We just have too many glaring holes on our roster.  Specifically the OL, WR corps, and secondary.  But, Hardy's potential price tag is dropping weekly right now, so we may be able to keep him and also avoid the issue of having two big money DEs.

HEISMAN!!!

He's a fugging defensive end dude, get a grip. He's not Luke Kuechly, he's not Johnny Manziel, hell he's not even Mike Vick at Virginia Tech. All those guys are the center leaders of their units. He never was going to win the Heisman.

You are that guy that chastises everything ESPN when their analysis don't suit your beliefs yet sips the kool aid when it does.

He's a great player who gets a lot of deserved attention but it's too easy to game plan against a DE. He won't win the heisman when he forces an offense to use the whole other side of the field or team a tackle guard and fullback to block him on running plays.

Mind you, I'm not a USC fan and think the SEC is overrated in general, but Clowney is far from overrated, you all just sipped up ESPNs kool aid like he could come into the NFL and be an all pro. He's still a first team all American guy.

LOL, u mad

I couldn't tell you the last time I watched ESPN.  All I know is that even opposing coaches were trying to say that he was the best defensive football player on the planet.  By definition, he's most certainly overrated.  He's a helluva prospect who is absolutely not needed by us.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
