Beason was in for one snap

I don't believe Beason is finished by any stretch of the imagination.  But unless your name is Adrian Peterson, it takes longer than a year to get back to 100% after that type of injury.

Regarding Beason not playing MLB, he has played outside before and did pretty well.

Doubtful that even AP comes back quickly from a full achilles rupture. Look back at who's historically come back from a full blow ruptured achilles and their success afterwards.....it's not a very long list. This isn't an ACL we're talking about. Beason will very likely never be the same player.

Bottom line is Beason was never the elite athlete that Thomas Davis is.  He's a good athlete, but not elite, and he has a shorter stocky frame.  He's best playing in the middle, and being able to attack downhill, because he always had a good first step, however he has always been bad playing in space.  Now that injuries have slowed him, he's a liability in the outside, and there is no way Keek is moving out of the middle.  Right now he gives us some depth, but it's time to move on from him after the season, I'd like to see us get a pass rushing outside linebacker to replace him, someone decent sized.

I think some of the faces you saw today will be playing much more in the weeks coming up.Chase needs to play fulltime and beason sparingly, sorry but at this point he is a liability in pass coverage big time. You can include White as another player that should be on the field more.

My biggest fear of the bye is RR goes back to Beason

Nah, I think he knows just like Beason knows. Sad day, but I think his career is coming to close. I'll give you some credit CRA. After last week I was on the brink and you pointed out that the giants were playing bad also. I didn't want to hear it. turns out you were right. They are a disaster.

I really hope he is able to regain some degree of the form he showed prior to the injury, but its not looking good. I hate to see this happen to him, but it's not looking good.

I do wonder though how much of this was reducing Beason's role due to him being a liability versus giving Blackburn a bigger role because of his knowledge of the Giants?

There's no doubt that Beason has not played well, but we'll see...
