Geno has 7 td 11 TO with a 57.4 comp. rate and he is better then Cam????

60%. You don't have to minimize him to prove Cam is good. Cam can stand on his own merit, not on the shortcoming of other. TBH geno is a gifted passer with a rocket and they're making him sling that thing all over the place. Those deep passes are thing of beauty. Boy, do I wish we had morningweg as our OC. The north gets all the goodies.

or receivers dropping balls.

or RBs fumbling at just the absolute worst time.

or HC giving the other team a chance to win by giving them the ball with time left on the clock and only up a few points.

we lose because this team lacks focus. it lacks hunger. it

The team is what Cam said it was when he arrived....a franchise that accepts losing. It was so glaring a rookie saw it everywhere.

Now we blame the rookie....the only one who points out the obvious

Have you watched Geno outside a game against the joke Falcons?

well, at least cam got converted to being a good loser who accepts it. yay.

the culture here sucks...and by that it sucks hunger, optimism, the strive for excellence, accountability, and, well, life out of you.

we excuse losing. we blame someone else...well, at least coaching does.

we deflect losing.

we say "something needs to change" but do nothing to get better.

we don't adapt to our weaknesses. we don't adapt to our strengths. we don't adjust to what the other team does.

we don't come into the games hungry (well, there was the giants, but they apparently thought that was enough).

we get easily discouraged and are incapable of pulling up our big boy pants and getting back to work.

The only thing that geno has and will always have over Cam is that he is a naturally gifted passer(his ball placements are gorgeous) and he did kind of run faster than Cam in the combine. Other than that, Cam is a freak of nature. It's apple and oranges comparing those two.

Stylistically, Geno is more comparable to RG3.

I actually do. I live in NY. His receivers drop a lot of passes. Especially against NE. Like the OP mentioned the Jets receivers have their moments. The kid does throw a catch-able ball. Watching him you can tell he is a seasoned passer because that's all he did at WV. He is the perfect QB for Morningweg who loves his deep ball.

Santonio Holmes wr - 1st round pick

Stephen Hill wr - 2nd round

Kellen Winslow te - 1st round

Not saying they're great, but your argument sucks.

kerly and cumberland are also a real playmakers. On the same token the jets completely sucked last year with Sanchez. Geno does make them competitive.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
