Julio Jones is out for the year

He probably could play through the pain if Atlanta was a contender this year but after last night...they're just shelving him for next year.  No point in forcing one of your star players to play hurt if your team isn't even making the playoffs.

Wonder how they do without him. I own Roddy unfortunately and haven't been able to play that fool all fantasy long so far. White should be a little better after this bye week though - so probably be close to the same team they are now just switched banged up receivers. It would help them to have Jackson back - I don't follow his injury so I don't know when that will be.

Gonzalez must be crying now for coming back to this team.

Since TG is all Super Bowl or bust maybe he should ask for a trade back to Kansas City

Amini is a bigger loss. He has potential to be a great guard.

lol.

julio is a great WR.

roddy white has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and can't get healthy.

sjax just gets and stays hurt.

gonzo is getting old.

julio is one of their last remaining weapons and for him to be gone at this point is about as bad as if we lost smitty.

losing amini was bad, but losing julio will hurt more. their OL was already teh suck. their defense is abysmal. the run game? lol. the passing game is all they have and pretty much all they've had for several years. at this point the only thing that could be worse than losing julio is losing ryan himself.

I agree that Amini has the potential to be one of the top Guard. He showcased that in the Arizona game. Boy was a beast.

But, "STFU"! Bigger loss than Julio Jones? lmfao.

Amini has the potential to be very good, I wouldnt say great. Julio Jones is already pretty much GREAT.

This really sucks. I hate this with a passion. Its just an excuse for ATL fans. Plus, I kno we could have beat them anyway. I wanted to beat them at full strength. Also, never excited about major injury. Hope he gets better soon.

settle down man.  You think any of our rivals give two craps about all the starters we've lost throughout the years?

What goes around comes around.  It's about time some other teams deal with this crap.

amen, and a lot of their fans were already counting this year as a waste because they don't believe in smith or really ryan anymore and they don't see their team as being built correctly anymore.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
