After watching a Fischer interview - i got the idea that Rams had permission from the top to be Chippy, physical and just straight down nasty towards the panthers. Apparently someone thought that Carolina of Yester year was still around.

Xcuse me.. but not only did we control that thuggish attitude - They got completely dominated. Seahawks man handled 49'ers with that same style - just pure thuggish disciplined brutality and they couldnt match up. (Doesnt smith remind you of Ray Lewis Last year ;)

We have tampa coming up - they have an excellent defense : Dont let up. We have the Falcons next - pretty please serve up Matty ballerina on a nice plate and then ladies and gentle men - the true measure will be at the 49'ers.

Btw - that same attitude that we had yesterday is what the Ravens used last year to cruise all the way to the superbowl. #justsayin.

We are actually a elite team. Elite defense and we are tied 5th for total points scored in the NFL. Behind the Seahawks, Pats, Broncos,Chiefs. We are 2 in scoring D and 5th in yards allowed. We are 6th in offensive rushing. I will say we are as good as the Seahawks. We tend to blowout teams like they do and I like our D better.

The defense held St Louis to 13 yesterday and even chipped in with 6 for us too...

The offense put up 24 points which in the games we've lost has been the problem.

We have an elite D (with a few holes in the secondary) and (so far) an average offense.

The good news is that we have the potential on offense, they just have to do it.

The coaching staff got the message - most of you guys are here on a one year deal anyway so youd better start coaching that way. I hope they go for it on all five downs against 49'ers , Newengland and atlanta.

Mike smith has used that particular approach to really stick it to carolina - Being completely agressive.. weve got something for you buddy.. Come on down. Tampa first - lets oil this machine nicely and quietly.

Weird - Love the similarities... with the ravens last year

Cam = Flacco (Better) - wait till he starts flinging that thing to Ted when playing the 49'ers .

Smith = Loud mouth Ray lewis :) and hes also as tough although on offense.

Panthers Defense - Sam as Ravens last year - tough S.O.B's

Panthers offense - Not pretty but they are jelling and toughening up. They are not panicking.. if its 3 yards the defense will give us.. lets take those 3 yards.

Because he is ass.

Maybe, but he wouldn't get burned by an FCS receiver for a 70+ yard catch like Thomas did. Guess you can't blame him for being burnt by Tavon. Oh wait you can when you're 15 yards off the line of scrimmage.

people may jump on you saying that Mitchell should have helped out, maybe but we dont know the exact call, he could have been a robber.  One thing for sure, Thomas was playing the deep zone over top so Quick was his responsibility and he didnt really contest him.

I'd love to see Norman get some run, but at this point, the defense is doing really well without him.

We shouldn't have lost any of our games this year.  We could easily be undefeated.  Hopefully we've turned it around behind our defense and smart QB play over the last two weeks.

meh I think Arizona beat us. Seattle and Buffalo were definitely games we should have won

    • Check your facts, pal. Mahomes started the last game of the regular season his rookie year as the Chiefs benched their starters due to playoff position being locked in. And in that one game he showed significantly more than Bryce has shown in his entire career as a starter. Which is what my post was alluding to.   Regarding Cam: Going into 2015 he had 50/1 odds for MVP https://www.cincyjungle.com/2015/8/11/9130505/nfl-mvp-odds-released-for-2015-season But going into 2014 his odds were considerably higher as he was coming off a season where he was clearly a top 10 QB before his 2014 was hampered by injury, a bad team and a down year in terms of his play too. Going into 2014 he was 25/1, tied for 8th best MVP odds in the league. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2014-nfl-mvp-odds-peyton-manning-the-obvious-favorite/ Bryce's odds right now are about 100/1.     Again, Bryce is absolutely nowhere near the conversation or even the same stratosphere as those guys and putting any amount of money on him to win MVP would just be throwing your money away.
    • I personally just don't see it on the field. He's had some nice plays, yeah, but overall my eye test says middle of the pick starter in the 15-17ish range. Which again, is completely fine, great for where he was drafted and the position is not a weakness for the team.   But he's not a guy who draws significant attention from the D and helps open up the passing game. Not a factor at all as a receiver. He was 15th in scrimmage yards last year (2 WRs ahead) with high usage and an average at best yards/touch. He's running behind a very good OL lately too. Hopefully he continues to improve and proves me wrong and shows those flashes of elite play more consistently but I just don't see it yet.   I like the Dowdle signing and think they will complement each other well. They are nowhere near Double Trouble. 1300+ scrimmage yards is honestly a pretty low benchmark these days and plenty of JAGs have hit it in recent years. Not saying these guys are JAGs (jury out on Dowdle) just that 1300 yards can easily be achieved by a JAG with high enough usage and in good offenses with good OLs.
