Luke on NFL's Sound FX (Ram's Game)

Great vid.  I'd like to have the option to listen in more like you can with NASCAR.  Ron sounded pretty good too.  Maybe RR has always been like this with his defense, or perhaps this is a part of the emerging new style Rivera.  Either way, his fire on the sidelines was great to see and hear. As for Luke, the kid never ceases to amaze me.  This young man is a born leader, another quality to add to his athleticism, football IQ/nose for the ball, ability to read offensive schemes and make adjustments, seemingly reading the QB's mind, greatly improved pass coverage, and of course, his tackling technique.  Notice how he criticized his own play after RR's hit/grab/wrap tirade.  He clearly is constantly striving to get better ("already missed like two").  Furthermore, he goes all out to lead both rookies and vets down the right path, literally, and figuratively, offering concise guidance, sometimes with a hint of admonishment for mistakes or poor technique, then he heaps on the praise when deserved.  He can transform himself (communicatively) into a variety of personality types to match the intended recipient.  I especially liked the fact that he's aware Mitchell needs to keep it toned down sometimes to avoid unnecessary flags.  He listened to Luke and had a stellar game, as did the team as a whole.  Luke's trash talking was a pleasant surprise. Maybe he is getting lessons from 89.

Luke's stat line for the game wasn't as impressive as usual, but, 1)his role has changed dramatically, and 2)he basically had the offensive equivalent of a spy on him the whole game.  He's become a field general...a very good one, and I am lovin' it.  Between Luke's rapid development and Cam's recent maturation and vastly improved decision-making, our last two number one picks are looking pretty damn good.

I still find it funny that people didn't think Rivera had a rough side.

Just because he doesn't publicly humiliate and yell at players all the time doesn't mean he doesn't have a fiery side.

After seeing him light up Captain last year, anyone with common sense could have seen that Ron does show some emotion.

I think being a former player has helped Rivera control his emotions on the field while letting them go in th locker room.
