Way to cut out the people on the fence. Jury is still out on Cam. Yes he is playing great right now but lets see how he does against teams with winning records.

Goal posts will always move for some people. It has since day one.

There will always be that next thing to continue doubt. And a few on here will always find it.

With every success comes a buffet of caveats.

And then the jury will be out until we see how he does in the playoffs. And then the jury will be out until we see if he can win a Super Bowl. And then the jury will be out until we see if he gets voted into the HOF.

 

Maybe then, just maybe, the jury comprised of you, TonyN, Black and ButtHurt (or whatever his name is), Mad Hatter, MHS, Mr. Scott, and a few others will think he is finally worthy of your full support.

 

He is our QB and the leader of our offense. He's broken more records than I can count. Along with the rest of the team, he has done his part to finally give us a winning record again. What he can't do is magically turn into Jake Delhomme. Sorry.

Another thread on Cam giving him the usual backhanded compliment. So sad

 

Yep.  There was a few drops. I watched in real time so I can only attribute one drop to a bad throw. Little behing Smith.  He still should have grabbed it.

 

Cam is progressing nicely.  He really has taken off.

Only if you wish to compare him to Collins(play off year) and Delhome(SB).  He is gonna be fine.  I have high hopes.

      I think we pick it up and then someone else ends up emerging as the QB next year and we end up cutting him in year 5 and eating it.  That would be the most on brand thing to happen.

      Evero has his faults, but even in that loss, the team only gave up 20 points. Your post gets to the heart of the matter. We are not a talented team on defense at this time. Some of our younger guys may develop w/more playing time, but for now we have no impact players at LB or EDGE. We could really use a ball-hawking S on the back end as well. We have exactly two players that have to be accounted for on every play, D. Brown, and J.Horn. Mike Jackson has been solid. The other starters would probably be backups on most the upper echelon NFL teams. We really can't expect this team to a Top 10 defense with such a lack of talent.
