and it wasn't just martin against incognito. incognito had guys who didn't just allow it to happen, but rode on his coattails and took advantage of it.

Reporting that I've read Mike Pouncey was a key cohort of Incognito in his abuse posse.

You know Mike Pouncey... he of the "Free Aaron Hernandez" hat fame? He of the grand jury supboena in the Hernandez trial?

The Dolphin organization is probably terrified of the thought of a lawsuit from Martin, as is all of corporate America in this situation.

I'm sure they didn't want to suspend Incognito or have Martin walk off as this is devastating to their hopes on the football field.

bullying isn't just physical abuse. martin has always seemed like a good dude, and a stanford graduate. when somebody pushes somebody to the point where they say "fug this" and leave the team, we should be looking at the person doing the pushing not the person getting pushed.

In Martin's situation, he's a young player and Richie's been in the league for years. He probably doesn't want to fight him because one, maybe he doesn't put as much stock into fighting like a lot of people do, Richie is probably intimidating, and the fact that he's being ostracized means he thinks the other players will take Richie's side if anything happens. Martin is handling the situation in the most classy and honorable way possible for someone who has taken so much stupid bullshit from the dolphins' locker room
