i wanna win this game dont get me wrong. but we will still be in good shape if we finish 1-1 these next two games.

these are major, major tests. in san fran will probably be the hardest game we play all year minus if we make the playoffs

I disagree sir. It is very very hard to go 13-3 with 4 losses.

I don't math very well but even I can see this problem.

Scorelines in the NFL can be deceiving, and the Panthers 34-10 victory over the Falcons was not a replay of their previous three blowouts. Atlanta came in desperate and dangerous, and fought hard until falling apart late. When they scored a touchdown at the end of the first half, it ended Carolina's run as the only team to not give up a first half touchdown this season. However, the Panthers pulled away in the second half after a clutch third down pass by Cam Newton was followed by a TD run, then capped by a Matt Ryan pick-six that sealed the win. A game ripe with playoff implications awaits at San Fransisco.

About our Quality Stats Power Rankings (below). This indicator ranks each team from No. 1 to 32 based upon average ranking across the board in each of our Quality Stats.

It's proven very adept at picking out NFL champs: New Orleans was No. 1 across the board in 2009 and won the Super Bowl; Indianapolis was No. 3 across the board in 2009, the highest-ranked AFC team, and won the AFC title. Green Bay was No. 1 across the board in 2010 and won the Super Bowl; Pittsburgh was No. 2 across the board and won the AFC title. The Texans were No. 1 across the board in 2011 before catastrophic injuries at quarterback derailed the team's likely Super Bowl run.

One caveat: because it is an average ranking, it treats each of our indicators as statistical equals. But as you can see by studying Correlation to Victory and Predictive Rate of Victory, some stats are better than others at identifying winners week in and week out. Still, our Quality Stats Power Rankings are a great way to size up the relative merits top to bottom of each and every team.

      I honestly wish Julius Peppers had gotten sick of some of Steve's bullshit and put him on his ass. Because I honestly think that was the one guy Steve wanted no part of.

      Just worry about it next year.  Its that simple honestly.  its way to early to do what ifs.  I could see us trade/cut chuba and retain dowdle, I could see them let dowdle walk and go with Chuba/Etienne and Brooks, and I could see Dowdle and Chuba both stay and see what happens.  Hell, we still have 6 games left THIS season plus possible post-season...what if Rico or Chuba have an ACL tear or severe injury.  I DO NOT want that to happen, but stuff like that does happen.  Remember RB is the most injury prone position in the NFL due to the beating their bodies take so having some extra guys is never bad, just wish it hadn't come at the cost we paid to get him.

      I think it’s cool that no one can be really certain what the outcome will be.  That’s a lot of progress! This is a real opportunity for us, I’d be happy with a competitive game and thrilled if we sack up for a W.
