Fua Has Been Moved To O-line!

Pretty much.

EVERYBODY PANIC!!!

We've been experiencing problems with our OL since before preseason. This isn't something that has all happened overnight. We knew it was an issue months ago. This development is only another instance in a series of questionable decisions or non moves altogether.

If we had made a few better moves on the OL back in August, and didn't stand by, we wouldn't be as desperate as we are now.

I understand that it is a practice thing only. Thats a given.

My point is if a player on the normal roster has lost his spot even in practicing.... why is he on the regular roster? Wouldn't it be wise to cut him and bring in a prospect with at least a long shot at being a player instead of no shot?

Technically the practice squad players are already practicing.

Honestly, every single roster in the NFL has at least one player who doesn't belong. It's not unique to us.

I just don't see it as a big deal. Like FP said its just a 'what the hell' thing. People are freaking out like it's something more than it really is.

You know as well as I do that he shouldn't even be on this roster to begin with. Therein lies the joke of this whole thing.

And I also know every single roster in the NFL has a guy like that. That's been true pretty much since they expanded roster limits to 53.

One of 'those guys' is pretty common. It's when you have multiple 'those guys' that it becomes an issue.

There were other things to fix too. That plus we still had Silatolu healthy then (as well as others). Next offseason, this becomes a priority.

And again, it's just drills. I missed where Fua was named a starter.

Old people, no matter how much money they have, are often really tight with a dollar. I had a rich uncle that used to glue little pieces of white paper over the signatures on birthday and Christmas cards so he could reuse them.

The approach Gettleman is taking with the o-line is beginning to remind me of that rich uncle.

And who out there is worth spending a lit of money on right now (and if they are why is nobody doing it)?

Yes we had many needs, but OL is make or break. As for Silatolu, not everyone was particularly high on him even when he was healthy.

Next offseason does nothing for this season. We have the talent to win now. But this team will only go as far as our OL takes us.
