Seems to me the powers that be in the NFL are missing out on a positive message here. If it was me, I would be showing the reply over repeatedly. You would think with all the negative crap out there right now with Incognito, they would want to show something positive for a change. Guess not.

That's the thing - the NFL?  Buncha bullshit.  They want to sell.  Player respect, safety?  All that poo is a show.  It's done for money.

 

When you have a totally class guy like Tolbert, playing clean, that takes the extra step that I think a lot of good people would, it's ignored.  Why?  Because most media consumers don't give two shits about the feel-good stories.  They want controversy and poo, so we hear more about Cam Newton's fuging towels (ok, not this year, since we're winning, but...) than we do about the good things a player does.

 

It's funny, because you'll hear people wondering why the NFL is portrayed as a "thug league" and bullshit like that.  It's because for whatever reason the good guys, like Tolbert, don't get nearly the press they should when they do good stuff.

 

Twitter shouldn't be the only home of this story.

I remember seeing this on the broadcast and I loved it.  They of course didn't make a big deal about it like they should, but then again if you have players doing it only for positive press it takes away from it.   We know Tolbert did it out of genuine care.   These guys play hard but most of them would never wish an injury on another player, I mean, it can happen to yourself at any given moment.  

 

I was a bit surprised he didn't get a flag since they said earlier this year offensive players can't lower their heads?   Glad he didn't get one though.
