After we beat the Taints in the Dome, RR will be above .500

At 7-3 we have already tied the most wins in a season under RR, and suddenly he's just 2 games south of .500 overall at 20-22.

We have the Fish and Bucs up next.  Both very winnable games, and no I don't think we will take anyone lightly.  Therefore, we will likely go into NO all tied up at 22-22 under RR.  A win in the toilet bowl on the 8th will put us above .500 overall for RR and Cammy Cam, and squarely #1 in the division.  I can't wait to see the Kraken rip that mole off of Brees' fuggin face.  Bring the pain!

Rivera deserves this...ive been very very harsh on him and didnt know if it would ever get better but his complete change in coaching dymanic is kind of unprecedented, he literally has made a 180 in terms of philosophy which really doesnt happen ecspecially in the NFL....hes a great guy i dont think anyone has ever questioned that...but hes finally getting the job done which is the most important thing

incidentally, when Breesus first entered the league he was questioned about having his mole removed.  He denied emphatically ever doing it, saying something to the effect of, "This is how God made me...."  I guess $100M changed his mind about creationism.  Either that, or it was the hookers down on Iberville St.

360 would mean he ended up exactly where he started. You mean 180

can you imagine how nasty we'll be once Gettleman has had another offseason to work on the offense?  Dynasty comin attcha.

One of my tangents just prior to the SF game was about this. No one has brought it back up since, so I was going to let it run its course. But yeah, I am positively giddy over the possibilities coming this off-season.

Get Cam and Smitty that shiney new Stud WR to play with. Give Gross an early retirement present by bringing in a quality LT, allowing Jordan to spend the remainder of his career in the modest climes of RT. And lastly, at least for me, cuz, you know...don't want to be greedy and all that, a REAL CB. A CB momma would be proud of.

Fill those 3 holes, and we go from competitive, to elite. We go from in the chase, to being the chased. Give us those three guys and we really are the Bully of the Block.

ron wins coach of the year if we make a playoff run. bank on it.

IMO, it comes down to us and the Chiefs. Whichever team does best, that coach will probably win. Or...Reid is a popular guy, he may get a leg up for that. Or...Rivera is an up and comer, and he may get some love for that. They both coached break-out type years from their respective teams, and they both have the respect of their players.

Either way, I am good. My heart says Ron, so I'ma gonna go with that one.

as I see it, the only legit contenders are:

NFC: Seattle, SF, NO, Carolina

AFC: NE, Denver, (iffy on the Bengals)

We have a real, solid chance at getting to the NFCC and Superbowl....and we'll only get better.

dynasty

We are young, we are strong, we are something, something, hear us roar.

I hear ya. We are going to be in the discussion for years to come. Might as well enjoy the fame.

bumping this because it's still relevant.  We are now 21-22, 1 win away from being .500 under RR and Cammy Cam Sauce.  A win this weekend, and we are set up for an epic game in NO.

Sunday night Football. Prime Time Baby. The lights, cameras, and action. Too bad it has to be played in...that building.

I have a dream. We spank them so soundly, they never recover and are never heard from again. Hellz, they don't even make the playoffs. They are so thoroughly shell-shocked, they still haven't recovered 2 weeks later when we spank them a second time.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Vikings bring back a familiar face Vikings get: WR Adam Thielen Panthers get: 2026 sixth-round pick, 2027 seventh-round pick A reunion between Thielen and his former team seems too easy. The Vikings are struggling with injuries at wide receiver and a potential Jordan Addison suspension. The Panthers want to see what they have with their younger wideouts, and Hunter Renfrow's emergence in camp as a potential fourth or fifth option could squeeze a roster spot for Thielen, who doesn't play special teams. The problem is Thielen's $6.25 million base salary. The Vikings obviously would prefer the Panthers cut the 34-year-old and pick him up for free, but Carolina already paid Thielen a $1.5 million roster bonus earlier in the offseason, suggesting it expected to have him. His salary isn't yet guaranteed, but it will become so if he's on the roster in Week 1, leaving the Panthers until then to make a decision. If he does get released, he isn't likely to get anything close to $6.25 million from another team, so he also is facing some uncertainty. All sides involved probably would need to give a bit to make a mutually advantageous deal work. The Panthers would eat $1.5 million of Thielen's contract, getting two of the three picks the Vikings got from the Jets in the Harrison Phillips trade in return. Thielen would take a $1 million pay cut in return for having the remaining $3.8 million guaranteed. The Vikings cleared out almost exactly that much when they made the Phillips trade, allowing them to absorb what's left of Thielen's contract as part of the deal. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46053274/nfl-preseason-trades-2025-team-offers-players-draft-picks-contracts
    • From JoeBucsFan. Teams don't usually waste 2nd round picks like that. Kind of sounds like they think he just doesn't belong in the NFL.
