Gettleman not paying for offensive lineman. Let's just use a DT, it's not like Carolina has a chance this year.

Am I right?

We'll need to make some obvious second half adjustments. Overall, the defense is playing pretty well (excepting two big play Capt' gave up). Cam looks a little shaken since the Cameron Wake hit. I think we need to go back to Tolbert/Williams leading the running game. Stewart looks flat out there. That second field goal helped us immensely.

And what is up with our playcalling?

Agree. Our coaching was terrible the first half, topped by challenging plays we shouldn't have, losing all of our time outs early and not having our guys ready. I agree with @Doyle that we simply look flat. No answers. Hoping we come out like a different team in the second half.

LOL Dude we have 10 million in cap. But we have to sign Hardy at the end of the season and Cam next year. Our oline has played fine in the past 6 weeks. Miami has just beat us at our own game today. We just got to play better.

    • Yeah, honestly being a long-term backup is at least as much about being a good lockerroom presence and accepting your role as a supporting piece and not being a greasy wheel as much as it does about ability. Backup QB requires a completely different mindset than the starter and some guys just can't make that switch. It doesn't make them bad guys or locker room cancers or anything like that, it just makes them not what you're looking for in a long-term backup. You bring in that type of guy to compete. You don't bring in that type of guy if you're not looking for competition.
    • Im saying its Tar Heel fans who would do that. I root for all Panthers to succeed regardless but college affiliation means zero to me
    • We have some good pieces.  Enough to be competitive week to week.  Coaching seems to be improving but they’ve made it much harder on themselves than needed.  There are very good reasons to be optimistic about the future. However, I don’t trust them yet.  Wins are odd looking and mostly ugly.  Our opponents have to have a bad day for us to hang with them.  A lot of that is because we still haven’t figured out the most important position and will continue until it’s solved. I think Morgan has done a nice job in both the draft and FA so far.  He’s getting better each day he’s in that position. As far as the players listed, I’m pretty much in agreement.  XL and Bryce are not performing the way they should at this point.  I will say XL could see more success in a vertical passing attack to better utilize his speed. And as always, Fug Tepper.
