The formula to win out

lets face it... our secondary gets burned.. Throwing teams can score.. We shouldnt worry about it. Instead  we should use there greatest strength to their disadvantage.   Their strength is scoring quickly and repeatedly and running up the score. Let them complete passes, but limit the damage..tire out the wideouts early so they are easier to defend later...and  If you cant stop it with defense, you HAVE to stop it with Offense..

The rest of the season is simple. If they score.. we score.. Make our drive take BUCKETS of time off the clock.   Let them get down to the 15/10 and then Hold hard. They cant stretch the field and burn the secondary. force them to kick field goals...  us a 4 man rush and blitz often, but keep SOMEONE on the tightends at all time (tightends have been our weakness)

Oline is going to HAVE to step it up... Safeties are going to have to do a better job on staying on top of the routes.. but there is NO REASON we cant win the rest of these games at all.

Control Clock + Control (while allowing)opponent field position +  stay in front of the play + NO MENTAL ERRORS  = SUPERBOWL

ffs

you know, I make this joke every week, and at this point I would've thought it got through to people that just saying clock control among other catchy football buzzwords made for some of the least insightful analysis but nooooooooooo it's pretty much impossible to deprogram some of these bastards so that they don't continue to parrot poo some glazed over football analyst said over the air when they were watching football for the first time

1 game = our secondary gets burned.

Stupid.

If you have watched the entire season you would know that there has been several times we got burned... but limited since our front did the limiting.. But in front of a decent o-line and a viable qb/wr combo... its pretty damn obvious..

if you cant admit that mike wallace was a precursor to whats coming then your in denial. Our team is good, but drink some real-life tea and put down the cool-aid.

    • Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.
    • I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....
    • Haha.  I remember my first Hornets season.
