He can win it, if the Panthers end the year on a 12 game winning streak (especially if the Bronco's lose today), with Cam performing great, or with more game winning drives. 

 

It would be like  a few years ago in the NBA: It was Lebron's first year with Miami, getting acclimated. Dirk Nowitski actually deserved to the MVP award, had better stats, team impact and efficiency than Derrick Rose across the board (though no one knows this): But Derrick was the better story. No one in the national media knew it was actually Thibodideau's defense and arrival that contributed to Chicago's great season, win increase over the previous year, cause none of them had even thought much about Derrick Rose or the team. So he won.

That is the difference between MVP and OPOY. More goes into MVP than sheer numbers
