it's fair to say Manning and Brees appear to take greater risks, but with it, they appear to also score more often.  Different offenses etc, but Brees and Manning have more TDs than Rodgers and Brady in their last 3 seasons, even if you account for Rodgers' injury by extrapolating year to date.

Brees has more TD passes in the last 3 years than anyone, though Manning will eclipse him by the end of the season.

I was amazed how easy it is to shut down Brees if you bottle up his HB throws underneath.

Seattle neutralized Sproles and voila, Brees has under 200 yards for the first time in like 3-4 seasons.

This is why I think Brees is the most overrated QB in the NFL.  Almost 2/3's of his competions this season have gone to a running back or TE(Over 100 just to RB's this season).  Its not really all that difficult to throw a swing pass or a 10 yard curl to a TE and let them get YAC to inflate his passing stats.  You can put the weakest arm likely in NFL history(Chad Pennington) back there and he could do roughly the same things that Brees has been doing.  When all you do is throw screens and swing passes there is no real reading of the defense required, and when he does throw downfield to colsten or another WR, he typically struggles.

Cam and the team are very much working in progress.........a lot of young new talent that is honing their skill sets over time..............they recently reached a threshold in their performance where it results in a win.

You can't compare Cam or the team to other top teams that have peaked.................but the Panthers are beating them

even at this stage............so if we can avoid free agency and injury gutting of the team while drafting well the future has the opportunity for this to team to be among one of the great playoff teams over time.....

But that isn't going to happen overnight............right now this is a very good team that can play with great teams when the situation calls for it........that is very impressive in its own right.

Very big, physical, front four.

Arguably the best front seven in the NFL.

Brees is a very good qb. The saints would be nothing without him.

Even in their dome, I'm looking forward to seeing our defense play their offense. If Brees doesn't have a pocket to step up into, he will not have a good game.
