I am not sure how this is even close.  I follow football to root for the Panthers, not to root against the Saints.  If the Saints miss the playoffs and the Panthers get the #2 seed and lose in Seattle 13-12 I am not going smile and say "hahaha, stupid Saints."

I'd have to say no playoffs for the saints.  Not because of the fact that they are the Saints, but they scare me more than any of Arizona, San Fran, or even at Seattle.

 

Why is that out of curiosity?  They have lost three out of four and are likely going to have to find a way to win in Philadelphia, Chicago, or Green Bay.  As long as we win this week I do not like their chances to even play us.

Arizona scares me. Having them out of the playoffs is a good thing in and of itself.

 

I keep hearing people say this and it's baffling. I wonder does Arizona say this about us? After that loss, no way our players will forget that and let them come into our house and do it again? Only SF scares me... I just don't see any of these teams beating  the same team twice

I look at it a Tad different.  If you make it to the NFC Championship game.  Home or away you are a damn good football team.  The best team is going to win.  Whether SF or Seattle we can beat them in their house.  I have no doubt.  To me the BYE is the most important part so I want us to win and everything else is gravy. 

 

But the Talking Heads have been all over Brees, Payton and the Saints cock all year.  I would love nothing more than for Tampa to kick their egotistical asses all over the dome and watch them watch us from their couch.  Especially Jimmy "FUGGING" Graham.  CSMFer

12 teams enter the playoffs for the SB prize.....

 

........if you are a top 2 seed then for all practical purposes you get a pass on that wild card weekend to bring your odds down to 10 total teams vying for a SB ring before you even play your first playoff game........and at home too.

 

Now imagine that after you win one game at your house........just one playoff game mind you........ and you happen to be the number 1 seed......then the next weekend you are down to just 4 teams left to win the SB and you are one of only two teams playing at home................and only one of two teams in your conference having a chance to play in the SB.

 

How can any team going into the playoffs not want the number 1 seed to stay at home for two games to get to the SB is beyond me.

 

Traveling around this country to play football has the same distractions and hassles as a business trip across the country. You always are more focused on the task at hand when the normal everyday activities and commute occur where you live or have your home base at.

 

Give me the 1# seed every time and forget who makes the playoffs or who doesn't.

as cool as it would be for the panthers to be the number one seed and play at home throughout the playoffs, nothing would satisfy me more than to see the saints eliminated from the playoffs.

Wouldn't it be more fun to see them play someplace like....Green Bay, maybe 5 degree weather?

 

#1 seed and it's not even close

      Am I reading this right? We've had awful QB play for over half a decade...and we'd pass on Dak because he has no "clutch gene" or can't get it done in the playoffs--something we haven't sniffed and have no reason to believe we will for years to come?!? Sorry, but this sounds like a starving man turning down a box of crackers because they're Great Value instead of Ritz. If a Great Value QB is available when you have none, there is no deliberation needed.
