Had Alcohol Poisoning Last Night...

Was not fun at all. Turned pale, was shaking, felt cold as fug! Vomited 3 times. Thing is, it didn't hit till like 30-40 mins after my last drink. Then I had to stay in the bathroom for hours cause I was afraid to go anywhere else. Thought I had to go to the hospital at one point. That is if I could function enough to use a phone. I had to crawl to get to where I wanted cause everything was spinning. Five hours later I felt alright enough to lay on the couch. 3 hours later I felt good enough to sleep in my bed without worrying about puking in it. Alcohol poisoning ftl! Never again will I let that happen.

Amateur Hour at Carolina Huddle.

Just don't take shots, eat a decent meal, and have a glass or two of water along the way.

This is basically my strategy...something I developed after my college years. I also avoid IPAs, porters, and the like unless I'm only planning on having a maximum 6 beers or so. I enjoy them, but too much of a good thing can be bad.

I pledged a fraternity my freshman year in college. To this day it was the best bad decision I ever made. My GPA was 1.7 that semester but I was a 4.0 in life lessons. And the best lesson I learned was about alcohol poisoning. It happened on one Wednesday "Fun Day" and I've never been that drunk since. I know my limits, and no matter how much I drink, I know when its time to stop. It's a hard lesson to learn bit essential for life. NYE, I got sloppy, but woke up without a hangover. Thank you Delta Sigma Phi, you coke snorting, pledge hazing, rapist mother fuggers. You changed my life for the better.

Also, thanks for letting me depledge without paying the $400 pledging dues. :)

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
