Cam or Kap? Kap is getting all the love.

Everyone is picking Kap based on experience and weapons, ostensibly. Kurt Warner, Nate Burleson,  Willie McGinest and Heath Evans basically are saying Kap is a better QB right now based on from what I think is (loosely) bullshit.

We're home dogs. Kap is better than Cam! I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.  Yeah, I just have to be honest with myself and the Huddle: I'm a little butt-hurt about the situation. Even though we've had a wonderful season in my estimation, I just don't want it to end with Kaeperdick and Harbaugh victorious in our house.

I've read a lot that has stated the opposite. Cam is the better player and it really ain't all that close. Kaepernick benefits from having better players around him. Ain't no Byron Bell lining up in front of him.

You have to think one of Cam's main targets couldn't even get off the bench in San Fran

Please be mindful that those guys work of NFLN, which just happens to be an offshoot of ESPN. Kurt Warner surprised me though. I thought he was a Christian and a man with some integrity, but I guess his paycheck and fitting in matters more. Plus,  it's a shame he needs to continue the charade of hating on Cam to feed his fragile ego.

Don't care as long as Cam gets the W.  Let them ride Kap's sack.  His one read and bolt bullshit would have him being called the worst starting QB in the NFL if he played for Carolina.  Put him behind a great OL with good offensive weapons and he looks good in SF.  Don't be fooled, he's the weak link on the 49ers.

Cam Newton has showed up for all his biggest games since D2 College. Dude will shine in the playoffs. Our D will keep us in every game and Cam will go on an unforgettable playoff run the likes of which will have many "experts" (lol) picking him to be league MVP when July-August 2014 rolls around.

    • That is a big HELL NO. As bad as XL was this season, at least he adds a dimension that the coaches can use for specific plays. Coleman is just as bad, yet adds zero diversity to our receiving corps. I’ll take the guy that at least cares enough to show up to meetings. Getting traded to a new team won’t change either of their work ethics.
    • I don't think there is any real reason to amend the rule. If you do, the teams will just find a way to abuse it. All the Browns have to do is just interview SOMEONE to "get through" the process. Hell, interview Jim Caldwell if that's what the actual goal is, just to get around it.  Also, they have all of the candidates required for the Rooney Rule in Aden Durde and Nate Scheelhaase. They are in full compliance already. Scheelhaase is already scheduled for a second interview, for that matter.
    • I don't know about the stans but he's at times been like 60 percent of the offense on a playoff calibre team. He put up 1202 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, then had effing 102 receptions for 924 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. He touched the ball 413 times this season (an average of 24 times per game.) Then you have to add in that he's a hell of a blocker when called upon. Without him, the injury depleted 49ers in a hot NFCWest division don't make the playoffs at all.  If that isn't the Most Valuable Player on the team then who should be? The idea that it is an award solely for QBs is just narrow. Edit to add: Will he win it? No.
