Yes, he is very good against the run. But highly paid DE's are paid that for sacks. There are lots of good run stopping DE's out there, who typically make less.

 

He's very good against the run, and very good against the pass, especially in the later half of the season when it counted. I wouldn't let him go because of one game where the whole team performed poorly.

You can't put all your eggs in one basket. DG spent first and second round picks on the DL last year and we already have CJ with a big contract. This team needs more balance. Our secondary is crap, you can't bank on a DL to get pressure on a QB every play to cover up the lack of talent in the secondary.

Hardy needs to be tagged and traded and it's really not a hard decision. We can use the extra picks to address our needs at WR (deep WR class) and used the saved money to bring in guys like Tillman.

It's time to seriously start building around Cam. It's year 4!!! We shouldn't still be saying this. I already see people coming up with excuses as to why we should push aside the need for WR for another year, this should have been addressed years ago, the time is now. This draft class if suited for our needs, getting extra picks for Hardy would be huge.

To be fair Robert Quinn had 5 games he didn't record a sack and finished with 19. Mario Williams had 8 games without a sack and finished with 13.

u cant just count his sacks, the pressure he gets on qbs and the double teams he gets allow for other players to get sacks. he is a valuable piece of the defense.
