Better player: Charles Johnson or Greg Hardy?

Hardy is the better athlete and is faster. CJ is the better player.

 

CJ doesn't have the freakish size or athletic ability. But he is all strength and determination.

Hardy is a really good player, but CJ is the guy that makes the DL go.

If I had to choose to keep only one of them, it would be CJ for his consistent high-level play AND because he's already gotten his huge payday and still goes hard on every down.  Hardy has serious ability and is on his way to becoming a top DE in the league but hasn't quite shown the same level of consistent performance and, obviously, hasn't has his payday yet.

Cj more consistent and complete overall also sets the tone for the line. When Cj went out Hardy productiin fell off, while big money produced on a bad line for years when we werent any good.

At this point I think I'd have to say Hardy, who is coming off a career year and just tied the single-season team record for sacks - but it's important to remember that CJ played a good portion of the season with a bum knee from that leg whip. 

 

I'll agree with most others that CJ is overall more consistent, but I think Hardy makes more impact plays.

Is it just me or was Greg non-existent part of the year? Almost half his sacks coming in two games? CJ was money before he got hurt.

right now cj is like a 8.5 and hardy is like a 8.2964, imo

 

They share similar pros(can move around, double digits sacks, QB pressure, stay on field etc etc) and cons(but want the big payday, terrible taste etc), but for the future I'd pick hardy 9 times out of 10. If we're playing right, I'd take cj..... but no issue if hardy was the pick.

 

 

people need to give hardy MORE credit since he gos against the BEST OL 90% of the time, while cj gets a bell clone on the other side. For awhile now teams are putting their worst OL at RT, its common ina  few squads.

Tough to say. They both bring their own thing off the edges and Kraken also brings it from the inside. Big Money is the veteran we can't lose and is better against the run. But honestly, I think they play off each other, kinda like Lamar Lathon and Kevin Green.

C.J turned the whole game around when we played the pats. When he was out the line looked mediocre.
