Fantasy Article on Marvin McNutt

Not sure how this will pan out. But if Gettleman is somehow able to successfully fill our WR needs through P-squad pick ups and UDFAs I will hang a poster of him on my ceiling and fap to his high-waistline shorts every night.

McNutt is a project at best.

Not true.

He is probably as good as any WR we would take after the 1st or 2nd round this year.

I watch a ton of Big 10 football and McNutt was a damn good WR at Iowa.

Not saying he is the answer, but he is better than many on here think.....because many on here don't have a clue about him and have never seen him play.

Also - I wouldn't brag about watching "a ton" of B10 football.

How many Iowa games did you actually watch when McNutt was there?  I am betting zero.

I see that you STILL have zero to add to any conversation on here.....well, at least you are consistent.

And, I watch B10 football because I have many members of both mine and my wife's families that are alumni of several Big 10 schools.

Here were some stats from his senior season.....

2011 Honors - - Named Richter-Howard Wide Receiver of the Year in the Big Ten . . . third team All-America by Phil Steele . . . honorable mention All-America by Pro Football Weekly . . . first team all-Big Ten by both league coaches and media . . . first team all-Big Ten by College Football Madness and Phil Steele . . . national Wide Receiver of the Week by College Football Performance Awards in wins over Indiana and Purdue . . . Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week vs. Indiana . . .  honorable mention Wide Receiver of the Week by College Football Performance Awards vs. Tennessee Tech.

2011 Preseason Honors - - Named to Biletnikoff Award preseason Watch List . . . named to CFPA preseason Watch List for Wide Receiver Trophy . . . fourth team preseason All-America by Phil Steele's College Football . . . first team preseason All-Big Ten by Phil Steele's College Football . . . Second team preseason all-Big Ten by Athlon Sports

2011 - - started all 13 games at wide receiver . . . led team in receiving with 82 receptions for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also rushing six times for 58 yards

As I said....he might not be the answer.  But, he is a damn good WR.

was the link to fantasy douche or somewhere else?

Rotoviz but the fantasy douche wrote the article.  It was whenever McNutt came out of college so it was a year ago.  But I found it through an article on rotoviz that had players to pick up during the last few weeks of the season for next year, developmental guys.  McNutt was one of them.

Cool. My GF is an Ohio State alumni and unfortunately that requires me to sit through many miserable B10 games. Claiming you have family members that attended a B10 school doesn't make you anymore credible speaking on McNutt's playing ability. I have a cousin who is a doctor, but that doesn't qualify me on passing along medical advice.

Those are some neat college stats you googled there dude. But that hasn't helped him translate very well to the NFL. He may one day be a decent WR but right now he has as many NFL catches that you and I have - ZERO.

You seemed to have missed the point. I'm not arguing w/ you that he could end up being a guy we (and the team) can count on and to make a nice catch here and there.  I'm calling you out on the absolutely idiotic statement that you made when you said you'd rather have McNutt than any WR we could draft in the 1st or 2nd round this year. Are you retarded?

I thought he said AFTER the 1st or 2nd round.  As in he'd be fine with McNutt than a 3rd and beyond receiver.

Maybe I'm mistaken.

meh - it says that now - but I'd still take my chances on a draft pick. McNutt was a 6th rounder that hasn't been able to do much.
