I dunno man - I like his back story, but not every former college basketball player is going to turn into Antonio Gates or Jimmy Graham. He's most def a guy to root for but I didn't see anything at all last season that convinced me that he's anything more than a 3rd string TE and ST at best. 

 

I have a gut feeling that the Panthers may go TE earlier than a lot of people think, especially if they somehow manage to sign one of the top OT FAs available. I heard they were sniffing around Tyler Eifert hard last year around draft time.

I'm assuming the reason he didn't play is because he can't block, doesn't know the playbook, or the OC doesn't know how to use him.

I wouldn't say he's forgotten. I think he will get his opportunity this year definitely.

I would love to see Williams develope into a weapon at TE for us. I think what has kept him out of games thus far has been his blocking...

We'll be very lucky if Barner has what it takes. He doesn't look like he has the size to take the beating, but also will he get the needed amount carries to prove himself.

If I recall, didn't they say he was raw, and needed to really work on his blocking? But, as a pass catcher, he was awesome?

 

Here's hope'n. I'd like to see him produce.

He had that sick catch in the preseason game and just needs time to learn football and develop more.  He actually has potential.
