Sproles to be released by the Stains.

Recommended Posts

This move puts us on pretty close footing, offenseive wise, with the saints.

Sproles was a big-time weapon for them that I am happy no to have to game-plan for. This puts our rushing attack squarely ahead of theirs, both on the ground and out off he backfield on screens.

If we can retain Ginn, our special teams will be squarely ahead as well as Sproles was a menace in the return game.

Colston and Graham are big targets that we have always had to contend with, but Sproles added a dimension that made defending their big receivers a tougher matchup.

I think we take a big leap in being the favorites for the division as long as we have a strong draft and retain Ginn and Mitchell.

Jimmy Graham ain't happy

I guess he fails to realize they need the money to pay him...

He is the reason why they had to release Sproles, so by complaining, he's really looking like a chump. Just wait til he gets that WR tag and then they are going to be in even worse shape.

Wambulance just pulled out of the stooperdohm.

You all do realize Sproles was hurt a lot of lat season and Pierre Thomas filled in and did as good or better. This isn't such a huge blow to their offense as people think it will be.

I had sproles on my ff team last year and he did nothing.

Well, they want to trade Pierre Thomas.

This is good news because I don't think Thomas is as dangerous as Sproles. He's good but not deadly.  There were multiple times when Sproles looked unstoppable. I know he was injured last year but that was last year and not having him in our division (hopefully) is a good thing.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
