So Walter from Walter Football hates Steve Smith.. Holy cow.

He won't have sht to say when Smith puts up another 1,000 yds.

That isn't realistic.

With number one targets his most yardage was 69 yards. He isn't a 1000 yard WR anymore.

He is a roleplayer. Not a 1000 yard WR. The Panther loyalty of thinking "our" guys will defy the norm is why we are in a mess now

Yeah but to say smith shouldn't be on the field? He'd be good in the slot. BTW, I'm not one of the people who exploded about smitty this past week.

In some people's minds and old school terms....nickel CBs, slot WRs aren't your "starters".

Smitty will prove him wrong outside Shula's offense.

He got a time machine?

Offense didn't hurt him. Being 35 did. Which is why Jeff Davidson didn't hold him back in 2008.... he was a #1 back then

He doesn't have the ability he once did but he very well could have been close to a 1000 yds this past year. Cam spread the ball around a lot more. Which I understand is partially because Smith isn't what he was. But he also wasn't playing the role he should have. He can fix his drops I firmly believe that. He had about 150 yds in drops last year.

Derrick Mason was still very effective for the Ravens very late in his career. I suspect they're going to try and use him in a similar fashion.

69 yds a game is a solid game for any WR. Especially if he's making crucial 3rd down grabs. That's all Smith needs to be.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
