What do you guys think of Morgan Moses?

Recommended Posts

About as solid a pick that we're going to get at OT in the first round.  Safe and solid.

No matter how we feel about it, if all the suspects at OT and WR are gone, I think we'll be picking Moses.  I think that we'll even pick him over Kelvin Benjamin.

it depends on whats left at carolinas pick, if there is a run on WR, carolina will take a WR, if theres a run on OL, carolina will take an OL.  It just depends on how the draft goes and what the chances are that carolina will still have someone they covet in round2 left

Moses was third team All - ACC.   Now, there were some good OTs in the ACC this year, but most of the first rounders are all Americans.  That scares me.

We have to take a WR over Moses here--or a stud Free Safety like Pryor---there will be just too much on the board at 28 to take Moses.

WHY OT scares me:

When we pick, there are 2 guys who will be potential first/second rounders who have knee issues.

Zack Martin could fall to us, but his arms are short and could be a guard.

Turner and Bitonio are smallish school projects with high upside, but we need them now.

Moses might be the safest choice, but I don't see LT in his future.

I think we will wait until the second or third round for a T.

    • Then why are they paying QBs so much compared to other players? QB are making so much it's harder and harder to pay other players. If a guy plays like 1 of 11 then there pay should be in line with that. Not all QB should be breaking the bank just because your next or a former 1st rounder There is a reason they say try to win it all on a QB rookie deal because after that they can cripple a team on what it can do. I would rather not do that for a bottom 1/3 QB. Cam and Jake have been the only QBs worth investing long term into this team has had I would rather not lower the bar. If a guy don't got the IT factor and it shows I would rather not invest long term into them and keep looking

    • I mean, I hear what y'all are saying, but Derrick could have been positive without being negative.  He essentially accused people of not seeing Bryce's improvement because of their desire to not be wrong. He could've kept it about Bryce and the team. For example, he could've said: "Bryce has made strides, and we believe in him. This coming season, his continued improvement will turn a lot of people into believers."  That would've been supportive of his teammate and sent a message to the doubters. That being said, his tact almost summoned and left the door ajar for more skepticism. That's my take anyway. Bryce has improved from the bottom to perhaps skirting the line between the bottom third and mid-third at best...after three seasons. We've all seen it. Yay! In my mind, Bryce has still got a long way to go and a short time to get there, but my expectations are top five--at least top 10--always! Yes, I am a fan, so there's that, but I don't believe it's unreasonable to expect excellence. Hopefully the Panthers FO has the same mindset (and that doesn't even necessarily have anything to do with what we gave up to acquire him). That is the lens I'm looking through. Derrick Brown has his homer glasses on. He just needs to be more diplomatic and thoughtful with his words in my opinion, but I get it that he's a good teammate.
