Gettlemagic: Slicing the fat off the cap with WR salaries.

Joe Flacco has possibly the biggest rocket launcher of all.  We're talking arguably the strongest arm in the NFL.

Stafford has a cannon--or did, until he decided to start passing underhanded.

Cam needs tons of work on his lower-body mechanics.  When he gets that down, the high passes will take care of themselves.

0 playoff wins...

Welp I guess that settles it, I don't know about the rest of you on the huddle, but I'm sure glad we don't have any of those guys on our team. Who do they think they are not single handily carrying their teams through the playoffs.

Why do people think Cam is so mentally weak he can't handle anyone yelling at him? How can you be a leader only in the absence of someone else? Cam should and will handle any new #1-#6 wr we have.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

I don't think Cam is challenged and can't deal with people yelling at him, I do think that WR's have a tendency to get in a QB's head sometimes to the point of being detrimental.

the surgeon, smart Cam... Pick the defense apart without having to even look at his WR

hasnt Cam done this a few times in his career thus far, and stunned every announcer, pundit, and analyst by doing so? i seem to remember Cam staring down a receiver and then chucking a complete pass to the opposite side of the field, apparently without even looking... regardless, i do hope our WRs will help Cam come into his own. he is on the verge of making it to elite status and after all the crap he has gotten since his college days, i am excited to see him finally put every single naysayer to rest.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
