Fwiw I like Verrett a lot also. Would be a much better version of Captain from day 1, for much cheaper. Our D would be NASTY! All time great.

one of the big media mock drafts that came out yesterday had us taking Verrett at 28

I would love to have him. So we've had visits with Verrett and Fuller and they are often projected as the best CBs available after Dennard and Gilbert.

Lattimore would have been a nice pickup in the 4th to replace DWill/JStew sadly that draft has come and gone.

 

Cody Latimer could be a good pickup in the 2nd round this year though yea.

 

I don't usually do this but I am picking on your post because Verrett has two t's as well but the point is... Some people seem to only know prospects because of a random thread on this message board.

 

Lattimore and Latimer aren't even pronounced the same way so if you have ever seen him play and heard the announcers talk.......

 

Either way I'd recommend watching some CFB and doing your own research into prospects rather than take a Huddler's word on it from a post they snip to make whoever they personally like sound great.

Terrell Thomas at vet min for this year and draft WR and OT only early (BPA in later rounds) then we should be good to pick a corner or two next year. Perfect.

The addition of a 2nd TE softens the blow ever so slightly, ever so slightly enough that the DB has to be considered if the value is there.

Serious question, why would we take a 5'10 corner in the first round? Seems like his ceiling is a #2 CB.

Yeah it all depends. I like Verrett, but if one of the top 6 WRs is on the board we gotta go with one of them. If not, then maybe corner, but I'd also like for Lewan to fall. Only OT pick justifiable at our spot in the first in my opinion is Lewan. Top 6 WRs I'd be happy with any at our spot, but if not then yeah, corner's the way to go and Verrett would probably be right there for us.
