Blame Peppers

Recommended Posts

Yeah blame Peppers for giving us 10+ sacks a season. Blame Peppers for making offenses design plays that goes the opposite direction he is at. Blame Peppers for pressuring the QB. Blame Peppers for disrupting the backfield.

Some of you are really ridiculous. Each NFL team has a salary cap. Each team is going to pay their stars the amount they deserve! Peppers is worth every penny he gets! Without him our line is even weaker than before and instead of having 1 are of the line weak, we would now have 2. If you want someone to blame, its not him. Blame Fox and the FO for ignoring the biggest weakness of the entire team.

But that still doesnt change the fact that HE, NOBODY ELSE, hasnt signed an extension for a long time now

Its going to be soooo interesting after this year to see if we're going to negotiate with him

Nobody FORCED our FO to give Pep that contract. Blaming him makes you look like a F*CKING RETARD

I understand that man....i understand the FO gave him that contract but it was a tough spot Hurney and Fox were put in. They didn't want a franchise talent to walk away without getting anything in return. I'm sure the Richardsons didn't want their franchise DE leaving without compensation either. They gambled that they could sign Peppers to an extension but Peppers didn't give in.....so I blame Peppers.

It's my opinion and not worthy of you yelling at me or asking to lock this thread.

So who do you think will be a team player and restructure to help the team?

Funny thing.

Restucturing puts CASH in a players pocket.

Dunno, maybe no one.

I would guess they give it a few days and see what they have before they run out and trade for something.

Am I the only one that remembers Peppers said he was open to a long term contract but his agent and the team didn't come to an agreement in time? Wouldn't that be his agent's fault?

To play devils advocate, it's Peps fault. Blame anything you want on his agent but the ultimate responsibility comes down to the employer, JP chose his agent, and is free to change it up at his leisure.

He can say what he want's, but why would he have signed long term when he's guaranteed 16+ million for one year. Worst case he walks away very very rich.

Anyone who can't see how the Peppers crew played the Panthers.. take the blue pill. I respect Marty but he lost this one, not that he really had a choice.

A money issue is NOT why some people were mad at Pep and now scoff at the "everything is fine" optimists. It's the length of his holdout that irks people. If he had signed his filthy rich contract sooner, we could have nabbed better backups. He did not, so now we're forced to obtain other teams' training camp fodder. Sure, he still would have left us with less to pay someone anyway, but the better "someones" are long gone.
