With the Icky injury and Moton needing an heir apparent
SOJA replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
The guy from Georgia intrigues me -
I really dislike XL. He just comes off oblivious to the world and zero humility. I said it all last offseason too I hope I’m wrong and he ends up being a legit option for us. Very little hope for that at this point
-
from a negotiatian standpoint everything you are saying makes sense. My point is it will down the road save us money, but playing like that is very fair given our cap is somewhat tight this year

Panthers have a Jalen Coker problem.
WhoKnows replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
He and his agent know we aren’t giving him big money now and there’s nothing to really negotiate as an ERFA and RFA the next two years. It’s on Coker to stay healthy and be someone we extend in 2027. The extension years will really start in 2028 but he’ll get bonus when he signs. He could also play the RFA year out fully and hit the market as an UFA in 2028. Panthers will still get cheap year in 2027 even with extension. -
Ocho says Leggette is coming to see him
Swaggasaurus replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
He don’t need to learn how to be Chad Johnson. He needs to learn how to be Keyshawn Johnson. Get your frame between the defender and the ball. Attack the ball and get first downs. These MF DB’s are going to own XL in everything else. -
They're gonna have to do something. Viewership fell off a cliff. Down 60% from last year. Less than 2 million people watched it. For reference, the least watched regular season game in modern NFL history was a 2018 Thursday night blowout between the Broncos and Cardinals still drew over 9 million viewers.

My wife told me to grill turkey burgers-so that is not a good omen for the seahawks. I think the Pats watched the film from the last 2 games of 2024 to see what teams did to make Darnold suck again. Vrabel will know how to do it. I want seattle to win, but I am not seeing it. Darnold is going to Darnold. Heard it hear first.

aside from a roster spot, we don't benefit by cutting him.

Figure its as good as time as any to remind everyone that Sam Darnolds grandfather was THE DICK HAMMER https://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/sam-darnold-dick-hammer-21332129.php -
This MF wants choice routes? In the NFL? As an actual retard? He’s got one role in the NFL. Leaning on defenders with that frame then boxing them out. Throw in a shallow cross every now and then. That’s it, figure it out or become a meme, most likely a meme.

I would consider Cam as a QB coach--he says what needs to be said in a positive way

OMG just zipped through this years pro bowl broadcast Even at ludicrous speed, it was unwatchable. And completely not what the last few years in Orlando were. THOSE were fun, with the Mannings coaching against each other. Skills challenges, tug o war, weight sled racing, a few flag football skirmishes just because. Orlando was entertaining. The mess for this year? Why bother Ugh

Cam asks some good questions.

He just isn’t very smart, and shouldn’t be doing interviews. That was a bunch of the wrong way to answer the questions. It is good to see where his head is at. Not that I am happy to hear his viewpoint, he has a come to Jesus moment waiting. I sort of agree that they have not used him like he was used in college or like I expected them to use him when we took him. But that is him sticking his foot in his mouf big time.

Oh yeah I was by no means saying anything negative about him as a person, his music just never "clicked" for me the same way some of my favorite artists did. Bruce is among John Fogerty, Tom Petty, Dolly Parton, and a select few others in rock and country that embody what we tell ourselves America is supposed to be about. He's an absolute titan.

Game day menu threads are usually the high light of games for me. I'll probably just eat some polish sausage. Feel free to post pics.

He played well enough in the Wild Card to satisfy me, in spite of what he can never be as a QB. I mean, I could deal with him if that was the baseline. His history shows that he is wildly inconsistent, and suggests that the Wild Card was not his baseline it is an outlier. He did raise his ceiling this year and I suspect he can similarly improve next year but it is a very slow climb. It was marginal improvement. And floor is the big problem anyway not his ceiling. The 5th year, you can cut him after 2026 and spread the 26.4 mil or whatever it is, over two years. So it should not be crippling.
