Barnwell - Ranking WR, TE, RB Groups in NFL
CarolinaLivin replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
That doesn't mean we are guaranteed 2k rushing yards from them two. I mean I agree we are a better team than last year, but just about every team thinks the same thing during the off-season. I hope we prove we are much better but recent history shows we are closer to 32 than 20. -

31 is a kick in the dick. But at the end of the day the onus is on the Panthers to prove they belong in a better class of conversation. -

2 1000 yard rushers is clear move forward, i get the WR group is unknown but there needs to be acknowledgement that this is an improved unit. Im looking forward to showing them -

i dont know about top 20, but i get it the 31. Some were higher on us last year and were burnt because of it. We need to prove we are a good team, instead each year we prove we deserve to be 30-32. You want higher ratings, primetime games, or respect in general... prove it. Until then, we will continue getting this treatment. -

its no way we can be 31, the running back group alone is worth top 20. this is the type of reporting that makes me lose respect for guys because it clear they are just looking at names on a sheet - Today

The projection makes no sense. 28 last year, 31 this year? -

Those are basic throws you'd expect any mid round rookie QB to be making. I'm all for a certain degree of optimism but I'm not falling for photo ops or unearned hype this go around. Even when we get to camp it's going to be very important to temper expectations. Here's a video of a guy recapping camp last year before we got destroyed on the road the first 2 games of the season. Keep your head on a swivel folks.

What are y'all grilling/smoking with ??
PanthersATL replied to Mayor Qumiby's topic in Huddle Lounge
Cooked a 7+lb pork butt on the kettle with the Venom. Set it at 225, held temp all day long (it was a 14hour cook, the stall at 155 took hours to clear). The temp graph in the app showed a +/- 3 degree variation for hours on end. Other than constantly checking the phone because I felt like it, it was mainly hands-off Because I was using lump instead of briquettes (ugh, lump was NOT my choice, but the bag is almost done) I had to restock/reset the fuel after about 5 hours, which was fine. Finally pulled the pork once it got to 195 - I wasn't going to wait any longer for 200. (I didn't wrap it through the stall, which was probably another poor choice) Let it sit for 30m, then pulled it. Great bark, great flavor. -
how many times are you going to post this?

Necas is great to watch but I firmly believe we were correct to sell high. I would be very surprised to ever see him come close to the clip he was scoring at during his time here last season.
-
If they are trying to open the field for thielen, then we have lots of problems. The Panthers should be phasing Thielen out
-
I like Necas wheels and his ability to create space with the puck on his stick. Super talented and fun to watch. But I don't like how his game translates in the playoffs. Maybe we didn't have the right team composition for it to work, but his time and space disappeared pretty quick in the series' (plural?) where we got sent home.

If Renfrow can run choice routes that well, he may help open the field for Theilen.
-
I want Necas back lol

Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season. Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush. The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
