  1. Past hour
  2. A little undersized and seems like what we hope JT to be. He's younger and has more tread on his tires than the Njokus and Goederts of the world.
  3. I think I would go after Dallas Goedert, Darren Waller, or Will Dissly. In that order.
  4. I don't know if better is the right word. He is different than what we currently have. He's more of the "move" tight end. They ran a lot of tight end screens and things with him. I don't really see him as a fit for what Canales likes his tight ends to do. But maybe I'm wrong.
  5. Problem is we really don’t use TEs and even if we did Bryce limits the opportunities our TEs have.
  6. The Saints have been in cap he'll for years and it was finally catching up. Their way out appears to have come by finding a QB on a sweetheart 2nd round deal.
  7. I think it boils down to cost in the end. take Hendrickson on a contract and weaken a divisional opponent VS giving up two firsts and signing Crosby to a contract. they’ll say it was for medical reasons. But in the end it just wasn’t the best option out there for them.
  8. Its not that, its the overall cap situation if something were to go sideways in the next 2 years we might be stuck unless of course we kick the can down the road again
  9. It seems like the #Panthers are out on N’joku. https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2031741807227281885?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  10. It may be high but there are some really appealing guys in the draft this year R2-3 for a slot defender. Scott, Abney, Haulcy (especially love for our defense), Rivers, Kilgore, a few others.
  11. We can't put that into another weapon with iffy ability to stay healthy. Already counting on a now 3rd year WR that has missed a third of his first 2 seasons to injury.
  12. The truth will come out when Crosby actually returns to the lineup. He and his agent could be blowing smoke about his progress to get a fat new deal witha team that has SB chances. NFL GMs aren't the only slimy ones out there. If Crosby returns on schedule and at full speed, the Ravens lose face. If he doesn't, Ravens look smart and Crosby and his agent do. We went through similar drafting Brooks. He was going to be ready by camp, then he wasn't. Then the start of the season. Then week 3, and so on. Time will tell if the Ravens or Crosby were in the right. Either way, the Raiders have got to be pissed.
  13. Is Chig better than Tremble, Sanders, or Evans? Just curious, I've never heard of the guy
  14. Phillips is 5 years younger and only $80m guaranteed
  15. Well they got Hendrickson for $2M a year less lol. I guess he's a bit older but way less injuries
  16. Lots of teams in on Njoku currently…expect a signing soon Top 5 teams to watch; #Eagles, #Commanders, #Bengals, #Dolphins, and #Broncos. The former Browns Superstar is expected to sign a multi year deal projected at 3 Years 29 Million. https://x.com/rickeyjrscoops/status/2031730904390095025?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  17. Great stuff here. I could see DJ Reader, Roger McCreary, Josh Jones, Brady Christensen being realistic possibilities
  18. agree with you Maybe. The Panthers don’t value Center position in this offense only position they aren’t paying for on that line is Center hard to figure with a little fella at qb regardless, probably will draft one in rd 3 to 5
  19. It’s one thing if we’re converting the salaries of a Turk Wharton or Tommy Tremble. This is Derrick Brown. He’ll end up with a whole new contract in a couple years anyway. And he’ll earn it too.
  20. My general thoughts on the roster as it stands right now: - Most interesting positions to watch: TE, NT, WR. - If we add a TE I feel like it'll be a bigger name FA or Kenyon Sadiq in the 1st round. I don't expect us to take a TE that early with our need at tackle, though, so it's likely one of the top FA TEs or we ride with Tremble/Sanders/Evans again. Signing a mid-level FA or drafting another mid-round TE isn't going to help us at this point. We have three of those guys already. - I don't buy the 1st/2nd round WR hype. I do think we will sign someone to play the slot because XL is... not good. John Metchie, Juan Jennings and Calvin Austin would make sense if the money does. - NT could be interesting because I don't get the sense that they view Bobby Brown as a true starter. This could be a position we look to add a veteran starter at or possibly take one early in the draft. - Devin Lloyd was a huge addition, but we need another starter beside him. I fully expect us to go after one in the 2nd round. Jacob Rodriguez makes a ton of sense here. - The Luke Fortner signing gives us a veteran fallback at center this season. I don't expect he'll end up being our long-term starter, but it's likely he will at least begin the year atop the depth chart. Even if we draft a center it's unlikely that player ends up being a day-one starter. But I think right now we're likely targeting a center in the 3rd-4th round as that seems to be where the value is. - We have no punter on the roster. Interested to see if we sign a veteran or go the draft/UDFA route. - The OT situation is pretty bleak. I now fully expect us to take a tackle at #19, but even after the Stone Forsythe signing we also need better depth there. Brady Christensen would be an idea re-signing; I also like Jamaree Salyer from the Chargers as a younger option that still has room to develop. - Guard depth is also lacking. Again, having a versatile backup like Brady Christensen would go a long way toward having some security for our entire OL, but even if he comes back we should add another veteran backup, IMO. - I assume Lathan Ransom would be the starting FS if we played today, but we know Evero loves him some Nick Scott so I won't be surprised if/when we re-sign him. He's basically the defensive version of David Moore, unfortunately. Ideally we'd look to add a true FS, but I don't get the sense that is a big priority at the moment. - Nickel corner is a need and I fully expect us to sign someone in the next few days to upgrade over Chau Smith-Wade. Long-term, I won't be shocked if we go CB earlier in the draft than people might expect given Mike Jackson's contract expires after this year. - I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign a RB. Sean Tucker or Brian Robinson could be interesting. We know what Chuba can do, but Jonathon Brooks has to be considered a question mark at this point.
  21. Considering the Raiders and Crosby’s disagreements about his health late last year and the Ravens’ history of being an extremely well run organization I lean towards the Ravens not being in the wrong here
  22. Today
  23. Hoping for Chig as the TE signing. N'joku and Goedert are more proven and names, but give me the guy entering his prime that hasn't missed a game over the older guys with better stats but injury history.
  24. We absolutely should get an experienced OT on a 1 year deal. Decker, Josh Jones, heck maybe Beachum. Or just bring Yosh back. Another slot defender like McCreary would be nice too. Then the focus could be on the draft.
