I agree to an extent. Hell, it was one of the most frustrating things of the Rivera Era. We all saw what happened in the divisional round against Seattle and Rivera at least didn’t replicated it in the conference final against the Cardinals. We never let off the gas that game. Today the Cardinals defense was extra soft and for much longer than I would have expected to see. I think a big reason was because of how many injuries they suffered in their secondary.

I doubt he comes out this year. Arch is having a rough go of it, he's likely staying too.

I was more speaking to physical ability at a base level. Things like speed, muscle and weight can all be improved. Entirely possible, and likely, Murray has better genetics/build but even Murray has admitted to adjusting his training and playing style to fit his physical short comings (no pun intended).

Well then,they can adopt him. I think he sucks as a QB.

Agreed that there are a laundry list of things wrong. However, improving QB and everywhere else are not mutually exclusive and should not be viewed as such. They are interrelated but if anything, getting the right QB in place should always be the top priority in today's NFL.

I wasn't speaking on Aguilar in particular, just the notion that an older QB that's not with his original school is somehow two strikes/red flags against that QB. Look at Pennix, he went #8 overall. An older QB that was a transfer.

Not just hyperbolic, but short sighted... I know there are some who believe if we just replace Bryce with a competent quarterback everything will be great. I see waaayyy too many other issues to believe that. Young isn't always bad, and even when he is bad he's getting plenty of help to lose games.

Watching the highlights, I noticed 56 is ass. Misses tackles consistently. Too slow in coverage. Can’t shed blocks. Over pursues tackles.

Yeah when he rolls out of structure, it’s either that or in empty sets where he looks best I’m speaking to a deliberate quick dropback to give him space to step into things. All the short guys do it but he tends to set very shallow so always has to bail out if the line loses even just a bit of leverage. He’s too short to step up into it but also doesn’t have the space to do it.

While obvious culture destroyers, I don't think the Teppers are incapable of learning. This will be Bryce's last season of starting for an NFL team.

As long as we shoot our shot on a guy with the prerequisite miminum physical intangibles and a winning mentality I'll be able to at least hope for the best. That's all we can do.

Arizona could not have giftwrapped the game any more than they did and he still didn't get it done, full stop. They actually made it even easier for Carolina to win than they did last year. With that said, the only thing that matters is abundantly clear that Bryce is not a franchise QB, the only relevant standard of performance. These posts about the worst ever are hyperbolic but he is very clearly not a guy that elevates those around him. It is time to move on.

Hes a backup. Thats the only thing he's proven. Thats what the Panthers traded the farm for. If you accept that then you will understand that the Panthers have no chance of winning anything. They still need a No.1 qb and are making the best of a bad situation of their own making. The best you can hope for is that the games are at least entertaining while they lose, and they are going to lose, a lot.
