  1. Past hour
  2. It’s because a lot of the yahoo type stuff is just “yahoo” sponsored garbage. And they just have to run it through grammatical AI correction rather than actual fact checking.
  3. Cause of Gettlemagic! You know why!
  4. The thing that surprises me, also infuriates me is the small misses in editing these days. In this article it said Scourton was a third round pick. Yes, Cat Crave does go with sensationalist headlines and once you click its nonsense. Who would think we'd long for the Gaston Gazette days!
  5. Ultimately it's up to the other safety prospects to clearly outplay Scott. I think when that happens on tape against other teams it'll be addressed. I think none of them have done that definitively and consistently yet.
  6. Night and day difference in the front office investements. Since Morgan has been in the FO (5 years)....4 out of 5 first round picks have been offensive players. The one defensive pick was a corner. Expand it out to the first 2 rounds? 7 out of the 9 picks have been offensive. That IMO is why our D sucks so bad. You build defenses up front. Carolina hasn't been investing there. Ron's first 5 years? 3 of the 5 first round picks were defensive players. Expand it all to include second rounders 7 of the 10 picks were defensive. All front 7 players.
  7. I think he gets this year to show what he can do. Last year, we had a lot of injuries. This year, we should have some players, even if we lose one or two. It's the first preseason game. Some of the starters weren't even in it. There is no scheming or game planning. Let's see how guys do when it counts. I think we have a GM that knows a thing or two about defense. Let it play out.
  8. I was ok with the mentor aspect of keeping Dalton, but wow has he fallen off the deep end. The slow behind the WR interception was awful. I keep hearing our WRs created no separation, but on that particular play dude was wide open and Dalton couldn't get it to him with a clean pocket. Next year, we need to address the backup QB spot haaaaaard!
  9. OLBs standing up is exactly what a 3-4 is. They line up with hand in the dirt in a 4-3.
  10. With them letting Clowney go, I thought we were going to be more aggressive in playing young guys. Scott has held on though and he looks completely lost. I fully expected to see Ransom or Richardson with the 1s on Friday and was completely thrown off when I seen Scott out there looking lost.
  11. I am not a huge fan of the 3-4, but if you are going to run it run the 3-4. This nonsense that Evero does where its two down lineman and what is supposed to be our OLBs standing up over OTs is a 4-3! If we do not have Bobby Brown at nose, DB and AShawn at tackles with our OLBs standing up, we will continued to get gashed on the ground like last year. His gimmick defense is going to get us killed again having 250 to 270lb LBs trying to anchor our run defense is on par with Phil Snow schemes.
  12. There is going to be some growing pains, but with Dave scheming his plays up, teams are going to have trouble with this offense. In the Cleveland game you were playing against a team who practiced with you, against these vanilla plays, and looked better because of it. Like someone mentioned earlier, if our TEs step up, we will be hard to game plan against this year.
  13. Yep this is the kind of stuff that often goes unnoticed and why OL play is so critical, just a half a second in the pocket can make or break a play.
  14. Today
  15. if we arent 2-2 or better going into week 5 then the poo is about to get real
  16. that is a distinct possibility, maybe even earlier
  17. he has a smooth as silk throwing motion, his passes look effortless
  18. Are we good on offense? Ask me that around mid october.
  19. Evero is a good DC I just think we severely underestimate just how poor our overall talent is on that side of the ball. We had to almost completely gut that side of the ball in order to fix the offense to save Bryce's career. Once derrick brown went down last year, we had no shot at fielding an NFL level defense and even if he stayed healthy it probably wouldn't have made that much of a difference. Steve Wilks did such an amazing coaching job in almost getting us to the playoffs at the end of the 2022 season that it inspired many fans and ownership to overestimate the talent on our roster. Combine that with the years of suspect drafting by Rhule and Fitter and you end up with the disaster that was 2023. Morgan and the front office have done a good job at fixing the offense and turning it into a solid unit. Next offseason I expect us to put more work into the defense and improve the depth on that side of the ball. The defense isn't great but Evero doesn't deserve all the blame. Alot of the blame is still on Rhule, Fitter and Tepper for the years of poor asset management and bad drafting that gutted the roster of overall talent.
  20. On the other hand after last season, it would have been the best time to cut bait. We've just spent big coin all offseason on players that supposedly fit his system and if he shits the bed do our new FAs translate to other schemes for thier cost.
  21. I'd have Ron Rivera as DC honestly at least we were respected on defense. Our defense now seems unorganized and too dependent on luck.
  22. If they cut Joe Flacco let's IR the red rifle and pick him up
  23. The forum largely turning into draft talk by Halloween is an annual Panthers tradition at this point.
