We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow
CRA replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
2023 - I didn’t care about wins or losses. I cared about Bryce and the O developing 2024 - I didn’t care about wins or losses. I cared about Bryce and the O developing 2025 -I don’t care about wins or losses. I care about the Bryce question and watching our young players develop. it’s nice to see a win on the board vs a loss. In the end, what we are supposed to care about is the offense (because that’s literally all we have been devoted to). Move on or stay, that’s all this season iultimately is about -
He's so bad. Worse than Bryce bad.
-
This one means we got lucky the other team was worse. We completed only 1 of the 4 pass attempts more than 15 yards.
-
I still have no idea what these things mean.

CRA started following NextGen Passing Chart - Week 3

I've been impressed with our defense for the most part this year (so far). If we had inside linebackers that weren't absolute dog sh it, I think our defense would look a lot better. When our defense has looked bad this season, I feel like it's been a result of Rozeboom/Wallace either missing a tackle/sack or not knowing how to play middle zone in cover 3

Just for clarification. Bryce Young is currently sitting on 5.3 yards per pass attempt after 3 games. That puts him ahead of only rookie Cam Ward. https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/yardsPerPassAttempt/dir/desc -

Jaycee shut down Drake London most of the game.

3-0 with 3 games in a row that he led a comeback win in the last minute. They would have won by 2 scores if it weren’t for a blocked FG near the end. It’s not like he’s only beating scrub teams since he joined the Bucs, last year he was the only QB to beat the lions in the regular season, and he’s the only QB that’s beaten the eagles in the last 365 days with Jalen hurts as the starter. We’d think his confidence was awesome if he played for our team and was preforming like he was.

Shout out to Michael Penix Jr couldn't have done it without him

Also… how about our two rookie edge rushers vs their two (highly touted first round pick) edge rushers? At least today, you gotta be ecstatic with our draft class

A lot of the winning QBs today threw for less than 200 yds. -
I know he’s doing what he’s paid to do but Jaycee really living up to the contract. Deserves praise for not resting after the payday and still bringing it weekly
-
Yea just a relatively tough year of being mediocre.
-
Where’s Tepper? He loves to hog the spotlight on the once in a blue moon game where we play well and win.

I was not worried about Mays and zavala- I was so upset that they put Corbett at center after the way Mays played last year, and then watching him snap high to a 5'9" qb for 2 games--I wanted Mays in the lineup--It just bothers me that they didn't see it (or refused to see it). Zavala was solid last year in spot duty as well. Solid depth at G- -
Nice writeup as usual. I'd add Mike Jackson - dude brought it today.

This is true. But it's also worth noting that the only coaches Canales has thoroughly outcoached are Antonio Pierce (fired one and done) and Raheem Morris (already fired once before with the Bucs and not looking good with the Falcons). Not exactly a stout resume.
