Hurney is the best GM this franchise has ever had. Perfect? No. But he knew how to hit on 1st rounders.

I enjoyed Morgan as a player for the Panthers but I loathe everything he's been a part of in the front office. We all know it starts at the top though and it appears every step Tepper takes is going to be in a pile so Morgan is just another one.

Well it worked, he’s not the first GM doing that, so calling him out for that is really a stretch.

It's going to be run heavy but it won't last long either way. Based on how some of our expensive defensive free agent additions performed against the Jaguars and the fact we have so many young players already on the defense unfortunately the odds are high we could once again find ourselves in an early hole on the scoreboard. If the Panthers passing game continues as they have it will be over quickly.

I’m not sure the Cards have it in them to blow us out unless Bryce were to just gift that to them. Gotta assume Canales will have an even more conservative plan that mirrors something like last seasons.

The only thing saving my sanity is the fact that the Jags were unfamiliar territory. First year HC...new offensive and defensive playcallers. Maybe we looked so bad because we didn't know what exactly to expect. OR maybe I'm just giving them another excuse for another piss poor opening weekend. Either way, we should get atleast one more time to see what we really have vs Arizona.

Panther win totals since 2018 7,5,5,5,7,2,5 and we just got prison raped by a 4 win team with a new head coach and it was even moderately close. So yeah you are all over it, its the Panther fans that are the problem

Literally couldn't do worse and that's not an exaggeration. A majority of people on this forum could select 11 out of 43 players that can make an NFL roster and wouldn't have picked a fuging long snapper in the 6th round. We also only have 15 of those 43 players from the last 5 years on the team so it's not like we need more time to evaluate 28 guys that are no longer here. 5 of that 15 is from the 2024 draft. So from 2019-2023 we have 10 guys to show for it. You cannot build depth by drafting like absolute dog poo

The biggest problem isn't that we aren't drafting pro bowlers it's that we aren't even drafting back up level players. We are only at 25% picks that belong on the NFL the other 75% of these picks aren't even special teams level players.

I believe we get blown out this week and Evero is fired on Monday.

I'm trying to be kind but yeah. The Jaguars did nothing out of the ordinary or exotic they didn't even blitz much. They had absolutely no concern about Bryce's passing ability. That cannot be understated.

I don't think any of our opponents are game planning against Bryce. It's 10 v 11.

Hey bud. There's a whole world of middle ground between playing like one of the worst QB's of the last 25 years and playing like a hall of famer. Maybe get out there and explore it a little bit.

Different people across the sports media spectrum will make their own conclusions about the tape for Bryce Young. Much of the conclusions will be based upon personal feelings instead of actual analysis. But to me the only opinion about the tape that truly matters is that of our opponent. The Jaguars are not a very good football team. They have a first time head coach. They are not significantly more talented than us. But they saw the same tape every other upcoming opponent has or will see and they formulated a very basic plan to negate anything Bryce Young was doing and they did so with ease.

There's a long history of that here. Byron Bell, Sione Fua, Ian Thomas, Mingo, Bryce Young....I just don't get it.
