Bryce Young featured on this month's GQ magazine
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young is quite blessed in his overall perception and treatment from the media when you compare and contrast to other first overall picks that have experienced such lows and highs. I'm hoping to see him come out swinging in camp and preseason with the rest of the starters. -
which is why he was a sixth rounder. I think I recall seeing a mock where he was a first rounder--If my recollection is accurate, he fell like S. Sanders.

Those people are great assets, particularly when they're defensive players, as long as you can keep them contained. But they're crazy for a reason and they're seldom able to be contained for longer than, let's see, 4.1 seasons.

I can't imagine him having much money now tbh

I can't believe all the horrible comments I'm reading. This is wild. I have never seen so many mean-spirited comments. This is the Internet people. Please act like you belong on it. Children could be reading this.

Well. The video dropped, and he is all up in it. It is definitely him. Good business move for both. Let's just hope he makes moves on the field just as smoothly.

Can't believe he is doing anything other than studying the playbook, working out, and practice. How dare he have a life outside of football. -

I think most people figured that would be the case. Colts got suckered into ARs athleticism when the dude is just an awful decision maker. Not surprised he is looking like the next JaMarcus Russell -

But also a wild d-bag, potential locker room cancer and a media circus. This might actually put the nail in Tomlin's coffin.

I never disliked the Steelers enough to wish Rogers on them. What is it with GB QBs who just refuse to go away?

And they're so young. This group could be around for another 10 years. -
Really feels like the culture with the team has improved so much the last few years. Very good sign IMO.

I like these two picks more and more every day and think there is a very real chance we found our two outside edge rushers of the future in this draft. In today's NFL, there are 4 positions that are more important than the others. QB, Edge, LT, and WR, and if Bryce ends up being that guy for us, there is a legitimate chance we filled all 4 of those positions in the last 4 drafts with Bryce, Scourton, Princely, TMac, XL, Coker, Horn Jr, and Ickey. If these guys pan out in the end, that's a generational run of drafting, especially when you take into consideration how poorly we've tended to draft over the years -
Btw, as crazy and violent as Hardy turned out to be, there is only one panther who should not be named.
-
I think being crazy is why he was a 6th rounder. He certainly had first or second round talent. At that time, probably worth the gamble for us that he would turn out ok. I wish it had worked out. With him at defensive end, we might have beaten Denver. Unfortunately for him, us and a few people he assaulted, he couldn't keep his head straight.

The dude has serious issues. He's going to wind up bankrupt and/or dead pretty soon if something doesn't change.

This. It’s apples and Oranges. Rod never lost a locker room. Stars players clearly went to leadership and threatened to leave if they didn’t fire him. Rod is loved. DeBoer is a cancer
